OS Friday 13th January

Options
Hiya everybody:wave:

I've had a really OS day today. I've done nothing.:D Visited my mum this morning and after lunch went and had a lay down for a resty. zzzzzzz. It's still blinkin hot here and it's so draining. Didn't get to bed until after midnight and got up pretty early. DH was having problems with his laptop. It was a bit like the blind leading the blind but it's all fixed up now.

I am just waiting for the sun to go down so I can mow the yard. Our house goes on the market on Monday.:jThe last few weeks has been a mad rush to do all those things you always mean to do but somehow don't get around to. Hope you all have a nice day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! It's Friday 13th:eek:

Day's already off to a bad start, as it seems they're trying to give me even more to do at work. I'm not blimin' well doing it. Not my responsibility

Didn't eat last night, as I was too tired to stay up. Didn't do any training as my muscles hurt too much, so swapped tomorrow's rest day for yesterday.

Hope all's well with everyone. Remember avoid ladders, black cats and always knock on wood

:j Good morning everyone.I got completely confused reading your post Ausielass until I realised you are actually in Australia :o

Dd was sick in the night,OH managed to transfer most of the solid matter which I had folded up in her sheet onto the carpet, well done him :(
Anyway after he had cleaned it up I sprinkled the dirty patch with bicarb from my 3 kg bucket of the stuff(obtained for me by my mum from Wing Yip)it absorbs the smell ;)
Dd has been sick again so she'll be at home today.

Rather than drag her all the way to school with her brothers,we will go as far as the only busy road we have to cross and see the boys safely over, and let them walk the reat of the way alone(they are 8 and 10).This is a bit of an adventure for them and I feel a bit anxious, but the 10 yo will be making his own way to school in Sept so its time to let him have a bit of responsibility and he's very sensible and will look after his brother.

    Have to buy a bottle of wine today-its Friday and we've not had one since Sunday ;) Also need to go to the butcher and pick up my freezer order;
    4 free range chickens(2 jointed)
    3 lbs stewing steak
    3 lbs braising steak
    3 lbs mince
    3 lbs neck lamb
    3 lbs belly pork
    This should cost about £60
Also need to get some coley to add to smoked haddock for fish pie tonight.

    Breakfast-probably just coffee again :o
Lunch-leftover couscous+chick pea and veg stew
    Supper-Fish Pie,peas and carrots

    Hope everyone has a good day,despite the date(load of old rubbish!0 ;)
  • Morning All!

I thought I'd add to the daily thread today as I'm usually at work by this time. :)

I have the day off, my new bed arrives today, so I have to stay at home. OH and DD2 are already away, OH to work and DD2 to childminder. DD1 will be off to school in 10 minutes. I'm in the process of washing dishes and sorting out clean laundry for ironing. WM is on and I plan to blitz the house today as well as sorting my freezer out so I can get a shop in later from Iceland (anyone know of any good bargains in there at the mo?)

Hugs to all that need them, and I'll see you all later. I have to disipline myself today and not sit in front of PC when I should be up clearing up!

  • Good Morning everyone

MATH - I hope yesterday was not too difficult ((hugs))

Have a beef stew cooking at the moment and it smells yum! The kids say it smells like lasagne or pasta sauce. Not in a SC though I'm afraid, just regular pot on the hob!!

Today I will hopefully do an inventory of my food cupboards and get on with some batch cooking. OH and I will not have our usual Friday night takeaway and will have our stew instead to save some money.

    Take care everyone xx

    Morning everyone

I have been up a while, failure to sleep last night...couldn't even get to sleep until around 4.00 am....and woke up around 7.30 am. It's SO annoying! I know I am stressed, it's these stupid exams I've got next week, but if I slept properly I might possibly be able to retain some information! At least I'm at home today so if I get the urge to sleep I can do so for a few hours.

Old Style today and for the next five days will be the absolute bare minimum until the exams are out of the way.

I'll be popping in here from time to time during the day, I really enjoy reading about other people's days - it's a combination of giving me a shove to get something done, getting new ideas, and a great catch up on how things are going out there in the "real world".

    Bye all, see ya later.

Broken Sleep last night. DD 4 (20mo!) was sick everywhere - although she had the sense to climb out of her cot and into my bed for a cuddle before she did though (only the good sense for her).

So - as well as sitting with her, I had to wash our bed sheets and pillows as they were soaked. I have numerous towels to wash too this morning. That was 3 hours out of my busy sleep schedule that I needed!

That was the first time she has been sick - I hate that - cos there is nothing you can do and they dont understand whats going on.

So. WM is going crazy again (not that that is new in my house!) Off to bath the small ones once I have had breakfast. DD4 is very clingy this morning, although she seems happy enough in herself.

Nothing else OS is going on today - I wont have time if baby is clingy but we will see what she is like when I get home from work.

Hope everyone else is having a good day. It may be Friday 13th - but at least it is Friday!
