We also had the same problem with £10 credit. After telephoning CPW (use saynoto0870 for freephone number for customer sales then ask to be transferred to customer service), they eventually did it over the phone by giving me a top-up 12 digit number to key into the phone. The credit then appeared straight away. So it can be done but they do seem a bit reluctant to do it - I was initially told that I'd have to go into a CPW store etc.
HTH anyone else with the same problem.
Thanks again OP - great spot - I have one very happy 8 yr old with his new emergency phone.0 -
My son and I are having the same problem with phones bought from CPW over the holidays, his is on Vodaphone, mine on Orange. CPW have promised it will be sorted out within 48 hours but still no joy. Both phones were bought online, my DD's phone bought instore was credited straight away
I'm going to try for a refund and see what they say.0 -
Despite the email on the 22nd Dec telling me I'd get the credit in 7-10 days it hasn't appeared. I will not phone them because I'd still like the Quidco too so I'll have to email again!0

Still no credit and promises not being delivered. Spoke again to a customer services rep who was so argumentative and obtuse that I eventually hung up on myself !!0

I am still waiting for the credit on this phone too."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

of everything that comes along their way."

Is there anyone else STILL waiting for the £10 to be credited???
I've been promised by Carphone Warehouse that they would credit it then on calling 3 days later back I was told Orange would have to deal with it:mad:.
On Monday I had to register the phone with an operator before she would even help me and she also promised it would be credited in 24/48 hours.
I've just called Orange again to be told I should be dealing with Carphone Warehouse:mad:
. I bought this phone on 15/12/08!!!!

Still not got our credit, taken it to both carphone warehouse and orange and they couldn't even put extra credit on so we've ended up putting a different sim in. going to try and get it refunded! so ridiculous!0

Phoned again and this time a result. They CAN give you a 12 digit code but do not agree to going in to a shop to get it as they can call one for you and have them read you the code.0

Had put sim card into a second phone to use just for occasional Wednesdays so was not in a rush for the tenner credit to be applied. Received a text with 4 number code. However after reading this thread I checked the phone
Ah, no credit.
Popped into our (very) local CPW on Monday and the assistant made a call and said the credit would take 7-10 days to be applied but would probably be quicker than that.
She said probably 2 days. :j
Have checked again and still no credit. Will wait patiently for the full 10 days before I go back to CPW.
BUT the ordered phone was unlocked......and now using Asda sim. :rotfl:0
