I've to phone the mw today at 1.45pm (I need to search the thread cos I can't remember if thats correct) and I need to speak to the GP too. Was on tablets for dust mite allergy that do say not to be used during pregnancy, so I stopped taking them, but the headaches, blocked nose and sneezing and burning nose/eyes are back so I need something!

Hoovered and kinda mopped the floor a bit so it feels like I have done something today. I'm now stabbing, so whats for lunch???

right I've caught up :D
Glamazon - Wazza do private scans that are in the evening and I think saturdays too so if they don't get you an appointment for 13wks at the latest u could demand a time slot in the private sessions? (In fact do that anyway because I'm thinking of having a private scan there in mid march so might see you there!)

AM: do you have a constant feeling of needing to pee (as if preg didn't cause that anyway!) or burning when peeing? they are better symptoms of water infection, if ur worried I'd call docs and ask them who to see (they'll want a sample so be prepared:))

MM: I'd call the hosp just in case! I've never had braxton hicks that were that bad to take ur breath away or lasted that long. If it is early labour they'll give something to try n stop it, I'm of the better safe than sorry thought

Feelie My morning sickness came back last time on and off in 3rd trimester so I wouldn't worry x

Thanks Sami - I was sure there was someone else after me but wasn't sure if it just my pregnant mushy brain playing tricks on me! I searched through about 10 pages - suppose I shouldn't be on here while I'm working lol!!

I have considered my wrist well and truly slapped! ;) Sorry Nicki!!

Thinks for tips re Babies R Us will def pick up a catalogue - I personally don't like the store that much either. You can never find anyone and it just seems disorganised. Hadn't noticed dust bunnies thou

Which IKEA changing table did you get and was it any good? Although, we live in a type 2 area :rotfl: (have decided that it can't be very accurate based on everyone's comments) we are still on a budget!

HypnoNu, you've made me hungry now! I'm going to Subway to see if I can get one of them £1.50 subs. Have been very MSE the last few weeks and made my own lunches and cut down on portions for tea so figure I can be naughty this once. Have got £120 to put in baby pot this month :T - and that was with a few naughty spends at the beginning of the month like computer games and food for NYE (came out of Jan budget as December's was blown at XMAS).
Must do better next month x 100 lines when I get home lol!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

ladies who have had growth scans (34 weeks), what did bubs actually weigh compared to what you were advised at the scan???

I was told I was having a giant baby. I had a scan at 32 weeks because I was measuring 35. Midwife even went as far to tell me not to take newborn clothes into hospital and to buy size 2 nappies. Which I did. Scan said big baby too. Measured it on his feet and esitmated about 9lb.

When he was born (2 days before due date) he was 7lb 7.5oz and everything dwarfed him. He looked lost in his 0-3 clothes bringing him home from the hospital and thankfully i had taken some newborn nappies as well as size 2!!

He did have massive feet though :rotfl:

If you go pick up at a catalogue off the desk in the baby bit coz there are usually vouchers in the front of it HTH

do you have to pay for your catalogues?? at the store near me it is 75p on it. i would more than happily pay, but like you say, there are never any staff around (the baby bit even has it's own desk) to pay them.

Well I'm feeling smug...
Miriam stoppard email this morning "Goodbye waistline! You're well on your way through the second trimester and I bet you can hardly remember what life was like without maternity trousers!"
Well I can hardly remember what life was like with mat trousers coz I'm still comfortable in my jeans :T
She also says I'll have put on 6kg which I don't think I have but then I didn't put on much last time either but I'm intrigued to get weighed at MW - oh better pop over there later to get an app! I'm so glad my GP's have an expensive phone number coz it makes me get off my bum and walk the 1minute over there :D

tis ok, best way to find the list is to use the "search this thread" drop down that is up there ^^^ if you search for edd 2009 you'll get the list

I got this one you'll need th ikea change mat as its slightly smaller than a standard one they do little covers for the mat like this but I think they are unnessecary i just use cheap hand towels.
Its been really good but at 2yrs old Chris is getting too tall for it but isn't showing signs of wanting to use his potty so thought while we've saved up we'd get a new one.

Anyone after a funky looking high chair on a budget, I spotted this one and I think its really cool - I almost bought it even tho I have absolutely no need for it :ohttp://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00146781

MW just rang me to book my 'booking in' appointment - 19th February

That means I will be 9 weeks! God, I hope that there isn't a delay in referring me for my dating scan - my local hospital had a delay last year and one woman had her dating scan at 16 weeks!

Where's Sami?!!! Save me a Bed at RAEI would you!!!!!

Awww Glamazon - it's really down to your area on how quick they act.. we were 14 weeks before we had our booking in appointment!

We had our blood tests and scan BEFORE the booking in appointment! :D

stoopid isn't it?!?!

Bloody stupid Doctor!

I went to the Docs on Tuesday morning, for a sick note, some Gaviscon and to tell them that I still feel knackered all the time even though I've been taking iron tablets for a fortnight. It wasn't my usual Doc and to be honest I didn't think much of her one little bit.

Anyway, just had a letter through the post now, from said Doctor, dated Tuesday, and it says.....

Dear Miss X,

I contacted Mr X's secretary today, after speaking with you about your future fertility. She adbvised me that anyone who has previously had children, whether in their current or a previous relationship, is not eligible for free fertility in the future.

I think it best, therefore, to wait and see about the vasectomy reversal and take it from there. Any future fertility treatment you may need though will have to be funded by yourselves.

I hope this is helpful. I wish you all the best.

Kind Regards,
Yours Sincerely

Dr X

!!!!!!?! Obviously she has me mixed up with someone else, but how bloody careless is that!

I've just tried to ring the Docs, but they're closed for lunch, so I'll ring back again in an hour or so.

I bloody !!!!!! when I read it at first, all that jumped out at me was 'future fertility' and 'vasectomy'!
