    Hi all,

I found out I was pregnant on Monday night. Went to the Docs on Tuesday and have been booked in for my first scan on 9 March - am 6 weeks at mo. Due around 25 September!!!!

Quite a little miracle really as I have polycystic ovaries and we have not "used anything" for just over four years. I got the positive on the eve of our second wedding anniversary (clomid still untouched in my drawer)!!!

I'm just really scared now about having a miscarriage, I keep reading articles (I know I shouldn't really) and they're making me very nervous. I've had tummy ache for the past few days, which the nurse said is normal but last night I had a bit of light/mid brown discharge - is this normal?? I also had quite a sharp pain in my tummy on Tuesday night but it went after a minute or so after I got out of bed and had a stretch.

Boobs still hurting and feeling a bit sicky as well .......

Oh stick - you're due around the same time as me! Welcome - I now have a labour buddy!!!! :rotfl: I'm 6 weeks today!!

I have been having little twinges of pain and cramp like feelings. Lots more discharge but not discoloured, I don't think this is abnormal. I can't believe you have a scan date so soon!! I saw my GP Monday but have to wait for MW to contact me to arrange an appointment to see her - will probably be at 8 weeks now. My boobies are really painful especially at my scar sites (I've had reduction surgery twice - waste of time really :rotfl: ).
OH is convinced I'm gonna be like that US woman and have loads babies as my little pot belly has already got bigger!!!

    r.mac - still here?!!!

Here is the most potent labour dust I can find

Bleurgh, was sick thismorning but felt okish afterwards.

returned my jeans to mothercare and got a differnt pair priced at £30. Dirty jean style with the huge jersy bit that goes over your belly, really comfy. And then when I got to the till they were down to £21 so I went and got another pair! :Dthese ones they are really super comfy, stay up, fit my bum, can wear a belt a don't make me feel sick, I loves them, oh and I'm a 14 in mothercare :j

Congratulations Stick!! Mild twinges and cramping is normal, but as you had a little spotting I would speak to my GP/MW. With DS2 I had brown/red spotting till about 24 weeks, usually caused by doing too much hoovereing or walking etc.

Good luck to all those facing work porblems, you have my sympathy... and also you can speak to a lawyer I found that helped a lot!
  • Stick Congratulations, I think we all go through that panic at every twinge/symptom spotting, being convinced something is going to go wrong stage til we get a bit further along. It will get better as time goes on and there really isn't a lot you can do to influence things either way so just try and stay positive.

I'm not sure this baby is happy about coming through the sunroof at 39 weeks! I have had the weirdest pains in the last 24 hrs, as I didn't go into labour spontaneously with Millie I'm not sure what they are and whether I should get round to packing that hospital bag! Hopefully it will pass if i take it easy for a couple of days

MW just rang me to book my 'booking in' appointment - 19th February

That means I will be 9 weeks! God, I hope that there isn't a delay in referring me for my dating scan - my local hospital had a delay last year and one woman had her dating scan at 16 weeks!

Where's Sami?!!! Save me a Bed at RAEI would you!!!!!

  • Glamazon (my labour buddy!!!) - the appointment I've got on 9 March is for my booking in, bloods and dating scan. MW hasn't phoned me yet - I was given a letter by the doctors to call the hospital direct (choose and book) and made the appointment with the receptionist.

I've just called the doctors and the nurse is going to give me a call back - hopefully she will give me some reassurance re the discharge. I am feeling quite queezy today but not sure if I'm just imagining it!!!

Erm, I'd get that bag packed just in case! Not sure how many wks you are, but my labour was preceeded by some pains. You will check whether they start getting regular, won't you?! To me, it just felt like mild period pains to start with. At times I could see my baby belly contracting (eww!) and it gradually got stronger. I felt better if I was upright and walking around, or in a bath (which was a struggle as I couldn't get in and out on my own from about 37 weeks cos our bath is so deep!)

Fingers crossed it's labour if that's what you want. I'm hoping not to have a second c-section as I'm not sure what I'll do with a busy 2-yr old to run around after too!
