Oh, Sami I've just seen the above you've made me feel really bad now! Was only saying I work in Wigan - must admit I wouldn't put my own picture on and said where I lived but that's me. I would be mortified if someone came up to me and started talking about something I had discussed on here like perineum massage

Like the fact I can talk to people about things I probably wouldn't talk to people that I know about!
    Soz
Don't worry Chuck, you just reminded me that MSE isn't an exclusive club! Anyone can join in and that includes people I don't really want to know that I have no pelvic floor to speak of and wet myself if I sneeze :o:cool:

  • Had Midwife appointment today and again blood pressure was high. Also have protien in urine along with headaches and swelling so off to the hospital tomorrow for monitoring. Am worried now? Is 145/95 that high?

Hiya, I was sent for monitoring lots! Try not to worry as your MW would have sent you straight away as thats what they did with me when they were conerned. I was hooked to a BP machine which automatically took my BP every 15mins and a sonacade which took a hours reading of baby's HB.

Your BP does sound a little high, a bit similar to what mine was. Are you consultant led? They will want to check you out as high BP, along with headaches/blurry vision and protein can be a sign of pre-eclampsia.

    Take care of yourself!

No I am not consultant lead and have not seen a consultant at anytime. Thats for the info as I had no idea what sort of monitoring they would be doing. They just said monitoring along with blood and urine tests.

I went to Asda in Watford after work today...... and I just stood in the baby aisle and cried! I was looking at the incy wincy baby clothes and little scratch mitts and I suddenly felt really overwhelmed by it all. Think I just had my 'I'm having a baby' moment. Bit late at 20 weeks but better now than when i'm in labour!!

Got my pump, steriliser, cot sheets and johnsons box. They had plenty.

Only 6 sleeps until my next scan, only 4 sleeps until my 7th wedding anniversary and only 30 seconds until I finish a whole bar of galaxy!

Keep smiling all my pregnant buddies!

Sami, I've got my investigation at work tomorrow. I haven't been all week as I've tried to keep busy. 14 hours to go and I don't think I can sleep tonight. Logic tells me that it's such a load of rubbish that it will all be fine but I'm emotional at the best of times and am terrified of falling to pieces.

    Sorry, all coming out tonight!

Sorry to hear about that... I think I have missed a few pages (or blame my pregnant brain!) but hope it all works out for you!

I'm sure you'll be fine, try to do everything you can to relax like bath, warm milk before bed. I suggest waterproof mascara or no make up and tissues at the ready, I would be in tears pregnant or not! make sure you have your written account to look at too. xx

Union rep is coming in but head hasn't spoken to me since last Monday. Haven't even been in the staffroom this week because of the atmosphere so I've just worked through the whole day. I actually feel sick. I'm terrified that all this worry has affected the baby. If this doesn't get sorted tomorrow I might tell them to stick it, my baby's more important.

Its good that the union will be there too tara you should never do these things alone! I'm sure it will get sorted.
Its times like these you learn who your friends are tho  My mum was off for an op before Christmas and the head and some others didn't try to contact her once while she was off for 2mths
