They showed the positive test on screen, I'm sure of it.

As its a soap they won't ever bother explaining it :D the truth is tv prop people have access to dummy tests that say either way.
they always use the clearblue ones as its obvious to even the stupidest viewer what the result is:cool: do I get a prize?

  • Hopefully the baby will get used to travelling pretty young. We usually go home every 3 weeks, 250 mile drive each way. Hopefully that'll get him used to it. A practice flight is a good idea though, I'll definitely fly to Manchester if we are told we'll be going abroad.

Thats if OH decides he wants to work. I think at the moment his aim is to take a few months off to spend time with the baby. Although that might change if he realises he'll have to do the housework while I look after the baby.

Depends on the purpose of your practice flight but you may find that a short hop isn't helpful... I can fly domestic without earplugs and my ears are fine because the plane doesn't go very high. Long haul I have to wear ear plugs for take off and landing because my ears won't pop themselves effectively and if I don't I am in agony and deaf for days...

Plus - what are you going to do if baby doesn't take to the practice flight?? Not go anywhere? Or just try something different next time?

Thanks for answering that - I wondered if the staff had to go and find a pregnant woman to get a sample from to make the positive test! :rotfl:

Edit - looks like you can buy fake positive tests on eBay, but no digital ones. Might be a more hygenic way of getting a positive test in the scrap book!

I always laugh at these soap stories where someone says they are pregnant when they are not - it's so silly. But does make me wonder where she would find a test. I can't even think of anyone on the show that is currently pregnant. And it showed her buying a test - so does that mean she actually had someone wee on it?? (yes, I know - exercise in futility, isn't it?)

Ok I have now seen it all - SpongeBob Squarepants on tour being advertised on Nick Jr 2.

Mine wasn't a digital test but it's still clearly got two pink lines from 18 weeks ago!!! And now I'm thinking "How sad am I that I've kept it".

And all the pregnant ladies are in here!

Skinty - I am planning on travelling when bubba is 4 months - wild horses won't keep me on the ground! As long as bubba is fit and well (as in born without complications) then we will definitely go.

cat - I still have 7 of them, lined up on my nightstand. They are each labelled with marker even (10dpo, 11dpo, ....). So I will join you in the "how sad am I" corner.

I've got my two, although they are a bit faded. Line is still visible though. Biggest shock of my life, doing that first test. Couldn't throw it out!
