Check us out... we're in a type 10 neighbourhood :rotfl:

They are right about the commuter and the fact we're close ish to MK and Northampton :) Actually Ironically I think they only take into account the nearest "town" so Bicester for us... and not the fact we live in a village just outside :) Personally I think we're at least a 5 :rotfl:
I think it says that your post code usually covers around 15 houses (I might have read that on another site about the ACORN rating tho)
Hubby is from an 11 and that's where we are hoping to move to in the next few yrs and send Chris to school so I'm hoping to be much posher soon

I live in type 28 - it reckons we have large families!!!!

Was meant to ask before, TENS machine, is there a reason you can't use it before 37wks. Does anybody know?

Wow ur almost as posh as the queen :rotfl: what area are you from then?

That is funny! I am so not like the Queen - will have to make sure I do my hair like code-a-holic said whenever I go out and try to remember not to move my car in my pyjamas when OH needs to get his car out!!! :rotfl:

I'll give you a clue - it's one of these

These families are found throughout the UK including towns such as Reading, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Warrington and parts of Northern Ireland.

I work in WN4 though. Had choice of RAEI and Warrington - am pleased that WGH has already passed accreditation for being Baby friendly.

Thankfully I managed to read it properly  but I saw on the lunch time news that she intends to BF - that'll be one busy mummy! although because they are prem I think she will have to express and they'll tube feed which will mean it'll be quicker than feeding them 2 at a time

Yeah, I saw that and thought 'How are you going to BF 8 babies?' She'll have at least one if not two on for 24 hours solid :rotfl: - ow thinking about them cracked nipples making me cringe!

Ah Mollie - an Octopus?! Now that would have been headline news!!!

In that case I know why it's 10 :) Before these house were built nearly all the properties were housing association - the whole estate was flattened 4 years ago and rebuild with the new houses. So either it's still thinking most houses are HA houses or we're just not as posh as we thought ;) :rotfl:

    Hello everyone,

Just popped on for a quick 5 minutes as I am home from work early and on my way to my booking appointment. I am trying really hard to keep up with your chat, but it's VERY difficult!!!

Sami - I just checked out that site, and I was quite shocked to see that I live in a Type 2 area!!! The neds/chavs round here must be of a better class than those elsewhere! I hate where I live - my street is all nice new houses, but the surrounding area is pretty run down. And yet where I was brought up is a lovely area, and it's only rated 28! Better not tell my mother!

    Have a good day,
    x

Often, many of the people who live in this sort of postcode will be older professionals living in suburban houses and apartments. These are known as type 14 in the ACORN classification and 1.48% of the UK’s population live in this type.

woohoo at last i live in a nice area:D

i think this baby is trying to do an alien! she is stretching right out with me yelping in pain!
