Just been out to the Asda Baby 'Event' and like Mel I was sorely disappointed.
Bought a couple of Huggies Wipes 4 packs for £5 (basically buy one get one free) and managed to pick up a Closer to Nature Breast Pump (which I was wanting) for £10 but all in all not worth it if you have to make a special trip.
Did buy a couple of little boy outfits at 50% off but that was just leftover from the sale, not related to the 'event'.
The nappies didn't seem to be that good a deal eitherbut then again after our Boots bargains I am always going to be upset by the price of nappies

Glam - Have you heard anyone say "pea wep chebs"?? It means pea wet chips
I'm from here and still don't get that one!
Well I've decided we must leave the house today (and I don't fancy a 3rd meal from the freezer this week!) so we're off to Asda, see you ladies later
Ps: MFD 4 pack huggies wipes are always that price in asda and the pampers nappies they have are the usual price too, although they don't normally stock the "mega" packs0 -

That makes the baby event even more pants than I thought it was Sami - it was the only 'bargain' that I was pleased with :rotfl:
Seriously ladies - not worth the trip :rolleyes:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
i was dragging hubby to asda tonight, might not be worth the trip by the sounds.
was hoping they would have some crib bedding, but maybe not
it's just i have a spend £15 save £5 voucher0 -
Maybe if it is one of the bigger superstore type ones then it might do but blankets and clothes etc were not in the baby event at the one here.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120

Well our rating was 43 and I'm not very amused, we are supposed to live at the 'posh' end of town!! Where we used to live must be proper bad!
I popped into asda earlier and was seriously underwhelmed by the baby event, all the cot sheets/blankets had sold out and everything either wasn't any cheaper really or wasn't something I needed (still want one of those johnsons boxes but had OH with me and we don't need it)
Went to midwife today I'm measuring a little ahead of dates but I know my dates are right so think its going to be a big one, midwife wouldn't commit to saying its big but she was laughing when I said it.
BP was high but that was because some little monster at millies school punched her in the stomach yesterday and I had just been into school to talk to the teacher!
Said to Midwife that I am thinking of going for a section and she was just like ok thats fine, I expected her to want to talk me out of it but she was fine.
That list is moving really fast now isn't it?MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -
Boooo that site puts my area at 44, which makes me really sad because it really isn't anything like the description it gave!! I checked out all my family's postcodes just to check and it put my sister higher than me and IMO that really is wrong lol. I must see my area through rose tinted glasses or something!
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know it must be broken, so if you don't get what you thought this is why.0 -
