I'm not sure i thought that thing was all that accurate either? Our area came up as 25 and we're just down the road from the queen and opposite Windsor great park, it's a lovely area, stupidly priced houses. Our old flat comes up as 14 at the was just up the road from the rougher end of Windsor so it doesn't make any sense for my area at all?

I've got my first midwife appointment tomorrow(finally) and i'll be 10 weeks, i'l trying to compile a list of things of things to ask her but is there anything i should particularly remember to ask?
  • Oh no  !!!!! I'm only 6 months with my 2nd and you've just brought it all back to me :p . DD was actually 4 days early and I swear she was brought on by me sitting on a birthing ball for 2 hours the night before I started with her. So that's my tip, get on yer ball :rotfl: .

Good luck Hun, I really feel for you ((((hugs))))

does anyone have any thoughts/preferences re a rocking crib or gliding crib? not the actual brand, but which is a better motion for bubs?

I would go for the glider every time. We had one for Ruby & it was fantastic! Much smoother action than the rocker.

I got a fab second hand one for £30.00 & a bedding set for a fiver! It was a Mamas & Papas one & like new. Just had to buy a new mattress for it.

The only thing is that I sold it as we had no room for it once Ruby had outgrown it...gutted now as I'm expecting no 2. Oh well I'll have to look out for another bargain!

I've just had a look at the up my street site & I am a type 8. Apparently we are often mature couples living in smaller detatched homes.

Well i'm 28 & hubby is 32. House is a smallish detatched...So sort of right.
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

(for anyone who doesnt know me and feelie are due on the same date)

Ah, well that is even better then!

I just had a massive nap, and feel much better now. I think I shall sleep for the remainder of the pregnancy, seems safer.

I live in a 49 area... Surprised it's not higher to be honest... Grew up in a 26 Area that was quite posh... But maybe that's just in comparison to the shiphole I live in now... The one with wonderful neighbours like mine...

The woman feeding the octopus babies... They will only need tiny amounts of colustrum to start with so as long as she starts expressing now she should be able to build up a good store... If she wants to continue one they're bigger then chances are she'll end up having to combine at least some of the feeds but with 8 babies going at it I'm sure it won't diminish her supply too much!

I ordered the pump and sterilizer on my big shop that Asda will be delivering at some point between 6 and 8 tonight, will be popping into town with hubby Saturday and might go to the Asda living store then and see whats in there... I got some lovely bargains today! Popped into TJ Hughes in Lichfield and they had some winnie the pooh babygro sets, I picked up a pair in newborn size and a little set that had a 'gro' a vest a bib, hat and gloves in 0-3 size... When I paid, she didn't scan the newborn ones so got them free! I also got 2 of these from Adams... They are very cute! and I keep reading everywhere that they are better for middle of the night nappy changes...

Saw the midwife today, couldn't take a sample because they didn't give me a bottle last time (and she forgot again this time too!) Did manage to produce a tiny amount at the surgery which came up fine... Blood pressure is actually steadily decreasing... And she let me record baby's heartbeat on my mobile... I sent it to hubby as he couldn't be there and when I met up with my aunt later she was making me play it for all and sundry, she thought it was fantastic!

It completely wasn't my idea... I knicked off someone else lol...

Was quite funny though, I asked the midwife if I could record it and she just said 'Of course you can, it's your baby!' she even put the recorder closer to my mobile to get the sound clearly...

I don't know if my MW would know what a mobile phone is :o

She must be at least 60, but she is very young and has a big 80's haircut in her photo ID. Shes great!
