 am looking on ebay for some maternity clothes (jeans, tops) someone recommended Next - which they sell on ebay anyway, are there any other online places to look or can anyone recommend some real shops?

I'm not at that stage yet (although nearly!) but there been a lot of praise on here for H&M. Also try Dorothy Perkins, Topshop, New Look, Peacocks, Mothercare and Mamas and Papas :) Depends on your budget and starting size.

    Maternity Clothes

Next, Asda, Asos, Funmum (online rather than in shops)

Peacocks, New Look (cheapish, not in all stores)

Red Herring at Debenhams, H & M, Dorothy Perkins, Gap, Top Shop

Isabella Oliver (online, expensive but gorgeous, crop up on ebay a lot, good resale value if you invest!)

Mothercare, Marks and Spencer, Jojo Maman Bebe, Mama's & Papa's

Still thinking will edit later if anymore spring to mind

I got a nice top from Vertbaudet with some baby freebies / offers - I look like a plum pudding in it but don't need it yet :D ASDA will be a good idea cause there's 1 up the road I can , I'm trying to avoid town if possible, will check all those out though, maternity clothes seem to sell very well on ebay :D

Sorry I don't think Asda have the maternity range in the shops its just online as far as I know so maybe ring them and check before making a special trip.

Great Sutton? Yes, about 5 minutes away. We're Bromborough.

Hehe it is a small world, we are round the corner from Wirral Hundred Pub.....

It's so handy for Oaks, Chester, Train to liverpool...especially since we gave up our car last year so dh could go Uni(Liverpool) Full-time.

    Yey - a local person!

We were talking last night about moving house - but said we'd stay local 'cos its so handy for everything! Two minutes from train station - then 20 min from Chester or Liverpool.

Now i'm on mat leave, i'm going to try and not use my car if I can help it - just to see how we'd cope with one car. Its a pain in the butt normally, trying to get to school and then work in the quickest possible time - but i have no excuse now i'm a lady of leisure for the next 10 months :D .

And i did my first asda on-line shop this week - delivered yesterday and all ok - so no need to drive to Asda now either.

does anyone know what a normal haemoglobin level is??? just had a letter to say mine is 9L and i need to get iron tablets? cant stand iron tablets so any other options gratefully taken on board!

'Normal' levels don't apply during pg - there's more blood in your body. However, below 10.something you need iron when pg. If you can, get spatone sachets instead of tabs - much nicer effects on your body!! Other than that, cut right back (or out) tea/ coffee/ cola, drink OJ with food (helps iron absorption) and eat leafy green veg - broccoli, watercress, spinach. OOh dried apricots & dates are good too (I'm not fussed on red meat) garlic & onions aid iron absorption levels too. Umm - lentils and pulses are a good source too

SOmeone has prob already posted this - but I'm only on pg 229 - got to catch up to 237 yet!!:D
