Ok - I've asked my DH if he thought the nappies were too heavy for a pregnant woman to carry and he said yes. But he won't let me carry the groceries into the house either.

MrsTine - I believe the nappy thing is still going on - I think this is the correct link. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1330459

MFD: I didn't find them heavy but then I only carried then about 10ft from the door to kitchen :) I think I carry things heavier than some would but then I spend a lot of time carrying a 2 stone toddler around so maybe I'm stronger than some

I was wondering whether i should be carrying them all as well, but as you know i dont like to ask for help :D:D

I also know you well enough to know that you will hurt yourself then go to work with a bad back or worse and not rest up.

Seriously - I don't think you should be carrying them. I haven't had mine delivered yet but just carrying 4 packs of wipes is heavy enough for me.

Triggles - I am only 'allowed' to carry 1 bag of groceries at a time  but I would rather be safe than sorry.

I would hate to hurt myself and make the whole labour bit harder.

MFD - I think his main concern is also not wanting me to injure my back or hips as I had horrendous SPD when pregnant with DS, and he already gets nervous when he hears my hips pop when I get up after sitting down for awhile.

I think we've established I'm very laid back and just do stuff as if I'm not preg :A I think I'd probably be a right mess if I wasn't a young mummy! I have huge shopping bags from ikea that prob weigh about 2 stone when full and I carry them from the car but prob shouldn't :o anyway I've just weighed a pack of nappies for purely my geeky needs and 10 packs weigh roughly 1stone :D

Doesn't sound so bad like that! Still - there is a difference between carrying them to a car and getting on a bus with them (AF doesn't drive!)

I am only so careful because I have strained myself too many times...but then again, I am an older mum-to-be aren't I? :p
