i arranged to collect my boots order as i am not home during the day. for those of you who have received them, are they going to be easy enough for me to carry them???? please say yes

Is your box huge too? I think we'll keep them in the big box in the spare room and put any bits n bobs we get for bump as time goes by in there too or there is always some space under our bed!

oh noooooooooooooooo.................... if that is what they are packed like to collect in store, think i might have to ask hubby to come with me on night after work and park as close by to the store as we can

I don't know what I want either Tine, and I have no idea what DH has got me, there's about 4 or 5 presents wrapped up on top of the wardrobe and I haven't even peeked! I love getting surprises but I think it infuriates DH, he likes to be told... and he likes to give a list of things he would like... The trouble is, he then guesses most of what he's got... Which is why I thought the magazine subscription was inspired... He's never going to guess that!

AF - I would say it would be fairly awkward to carry them - the box is quite big - although if you bring a couple canvas bags and split up the packs to carry them - unless of course you're driving in which case a short trip to the car wouldn't be too bad.
Wow. Sorry, reading that back it seems rather vague, didn't it? *sigh*My brain is toast today - see? I keep thinking of food!

Sami - yes the box is huge - it's sitting laughing at me in the middle of my living room as we haven't yet decided where to stash it.

Off to get more tortilla chips *munch* *crunch*

AF - the nappies are surprisingly small :D

I ordered a couple of other things and the order came in 2 boxes. My best suggestion would be to take a couple of reusable style supermarket carrier bags and open the boxes in the store and use the bags to carry the nappies - there was way too much packaging :D Otherwise they might let you collect one box one day and the second on another day????

    Thanks Triggles and r.mac

Think I will go with the option of going there and seeing about putting them into a few bags and see what they say. If they say no, then will have to sweet talk hubby

I showed hubby the size of a single pack of the nappies which he hadn't seen as i have kept the huggies starter packs at work. Think the size of them even freaked him out. I said I am sure we are going to break this baby. xxxx

  • Am I the only one thinking that TEN packs of nappies (however small they are) is way too heavy for 1 pregnant lady to carry???

Or am I the only wimp here?

AF: Im sure if you ask they will give you 2 of their large carrierbags to put them in, the box I got is 15x17x19 inches but was half empty. if your in the car and your boots has trolleys you'd be fine on your own I reckon but otherwise best to enlist help :)

might see if one of my colleagues at work will assist (fingers crossed)

MrsTine, the nappies on the boots website are currently out of stock. it is for the size 1 newborn huggies. if you go onto the grabit board and look at the first page of the boots sticky you will see the code that you will need to use.

its worth checking the boots website every so often as the nappies will come back in stock, but will then disappear again
