MrsTine, i sounds like something i occassionally get, it took them months and months to finally diagnose it but it turned out to be silent migraines, so often there a totally harmless explanation.
I hope everythings ok, im sure it will be, try not to panic.0 -
Midwife phoned me, and said that I should come in tomorrow to the clinic. She'll check my BP again and we can work out if its just hormones and worry, or if I need to do something. Hopefully its just worry because of how I'm feeling physically.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

tiamai - sorry you had a difficult decision to make. (((hugs))) Take care of yourself.
MrsT - don't overdo it - isn't there any way you can get to Exeter without having to do the drive yourself? Tell your work to stump up for transportation somehow! Or maybe have someone else drive for you? Is there an assistant in the office that could be with you for the day? I don't know what you do for work, so obviously don't know the set up.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

Only way to get there is drive - trains would require me to leave home tonight and change trains 3 times with 2+ hours between the connections... (looked into this several times as I'd prefer train so I can work whilst travelling) I guess the plus side is they pay me milage which is about £150 and diesel only costs me about £30-£40...
The only other person going to the meeting is coming from a totally different direction and would mean a 100 mile detour for him bless...
I think so long as doctor also says it's ok I'll be fine... it was just the feeling of TOTAL panic...
I'm guessing they'll just tell me to take it easy (hahahaha) and probably make me come in and check my blood pressure from time to time... thank crunchie for a nice nurse is all I can say and you lot on here keeping me sane!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! I've also had the flashing/rippling type of vision a while ago. I've never actually had it checked out properly, but a friend said it was probably visual migraines. They don't hurt, it just looks like a big flashing blind spot in your eye!
I'm 16 weeks now and can't do my work uniform up! I've been waiting almost 5 weeks for my maternity trousers to come!
I haven't felt any movement yet. They say you feel it earlier with your second pregnancy. I think my little bean must be trying to kick their way through the podge first!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

Hey? What? I did nowt, me! (what are we talking about?!)
Hugs for FG and T-d.. Waves to SB.. and fingers crossed for caz!
I had a better day today - was sick first thing but fine after that. Has my risk assessment done at work and was told I have to stand up and move if I'm trying to get to something out of arms' reach, and not lift anything heavy or bulky. They said they knew I was brave (aka loud and bloshy!) enough to speak up if there was something I needed to do but felt unsure about how safe it is
And, in even better news, I've heard my baby's heartbeat!Picked my doppler up from the Post Office at lunchtime and tried it out as soon as I got home. Can anyone remember what that "rule" is about if it's over a certain number of BPM it is/isn't a girl, or whatever it was?
Tesco delivery of snacky stuff is due between 8 and 10 tonight so I'm planning a midnight feast! Also going to prep some melon to take to work tomorrow so I don't end up having crisps for brekkie again!0 -
tiamai_d, im sorry you had to make that decision
i hope you're being well supported x0 -
I'm another that has silent migraines... Vision goes in one eye for a while then comes back again... Sometimes followed by a headache, sometimes not... And when I was having Aimee I was on my way home from work one night, got the train in Erdington, by the time I got to Birmingham New Street I was blind in 1 eye and had reverse tunnel vision in the other, how I managed to get the right train from there I'll never know!
Hubby's just started feeling our baby, I'm 22 weeks now... He feels some of the harder kicks but we found if he puts his head on my tummy he can hear it aswell as feel it... Baby likes to kick him in the head!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
