Skint - sorry you don't like your name. Hey, when I was 6, I insisted I wanted to change my name to April Lily. God only knows why, I drove my parents crazy with it - refused to even answer to anything else! But even now I'm not thrilled with my name, but lots of people feel that way about their own name. I've always felt Emma was a lovely name - a short simple sweet feminine type name. It's all in how you look at it, I guess.
My parents thought/think so too. Isn't naming a baby such a responsibility?
If we have a girl I want her to have a really feminine name.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

must be the baby brain again sami lol!! seems to be catching on here the now:D
did you go for the blue??? i bet you will love it! had mine sitiing here for ages and had to try it out today terrible i know but needed to make sure it worked:P i have bought the baby cocoon and it looks cosy and will be handy too! What's for you won't go past you0 -
Caz, I knew it was you who liked Sera (or Seraphina) just like Ben Affleck! ***swoon***
.
PS: Hope everything is working itself out xxx
Skintchick, I'm veggie so DH makes most of his own meals and usually mine too.
I'm Jennifer and although I like my name, I'm only ever called it by DH and the doctors receptionist!. Thats one of the reasons we chose Poppy and Jamie. My son is named after my grandad and we did consider James but couldn't see the point as he would be called Jamie anyway (and James has been in the top 10 for over 5 years so that was out anyway).

Caz - it was my nan we have to thank - all the Edies in her day were slappers - apparently!! (But my nan is famous for coming out with such bizarre statements - she's at that age when she thinks she can get away with being absolutely rude!! ).
Sami-Bee - Samantha (Sam) is one of the very few names that both me and OH have agreed on for our girl. I don't actually know any of my age, or in DS/DD's schools - apart from a few boy 'Sams'.
Skinti - Is he not big enough to feed himself?!? They drive me insane! I'm mostly eating little and often snacks as I can't fit a big meal in my tummy anymore - and OH looks all sorry for himself because i'm not cooking. Then makes himself some strange combination usually involving tuna and rice! I'm starting to worry now, that if i don't get a 2hr discharge from hospital after little one is born, OH, DS and DD will all starve to death.
And, I think Emma is a lovely feminine, girly name!
Mum always says she was going to call me Rachel, but someone in the hospital when I was born put her off so I got Nicola Jane, along with just about everyone else born in the early 70's!! I've always thought i'd have been more successful, prettier, happier if i'd been a Rachel! :rotfl:
DD and her friends have figured out that five of them in their class in school have mums called Nicola Jane - how common!!:beer:0 -
Is this the P&T you are talking about from Kiddiecare?
CLICK
I am so tempted and DH has just said 'get it if you want it'!!

Yeah I figure blue is unisex
It came with the doubles kit and cocoon and I added the rain cover, I nearly got the sun shade cover but then thought I'd wait or maybe get it 2nd hand off ebay coz I'm not sure how much I'd use it.
I looked on ebay and the 2nd hand ones are selling for between £200 - 250 so I'm sure I'd get my money's worth from it, I think I'll stick my SX 3D on ebay now and get something back from that:cool: also got hubby's old xbox and games to sell and some of my old clothes that I thought were too good for the charity shop!
I'll have the money for some new windows in no time at this rate! (don't tell hubby thats what I'm planning on buying next tho!)
EDIT thats the one SB - please don't tell me you've just seen it cheaper coz I've ordered it now0 -

What is it with men and tuna??0 -
No, Sami, never seen them as cheap as that! What a bargain. My fingers are twitching to order but just noticed it says 'pre-order' so may have a think for a bit longer!

I got Lynsey. Mum and Dad liked the name but not any of the spellings they'd seen until Lynsey de Paul (singer) was on tv and they decided they liked that spelling. One year, when I was at secondary school, I got all of the xmas cards I was sent and wrote down all the variations everyone wrote... there were 26!!
The girls name we like is going to get both "how do you spell that?" and "how do you pronounce that?" but we still like it..0
