I got Lynsey. Mum and Dad liked the name but not any of the spellings they'd seen until Lynsey de Paul (singer) was on tv and they decided they liked that spelling. One year, when I was at secondary school, I got all of the xmas cards I was sent and wrote down all the variations everyone wrote... there were 26!!
The girls name we like is going to get both "how do you spell that?" and "how do you pronounce that?" but we still like it..
Ps I have another friend spelt same as youI can't remember her last name as not seen her for a while but I thought it would be a rare spelling so looked on facebook but there was quite a few:p

Skinti - Is he not big enough to feed himself?!? They drive me insane! I'm mostly eating little and often snacks as I can't fit a big meal in my tummy anymore - and OH looks all sorry for himself because i'm not cooking. Then makes himself some strange combination usually involving tuna and rice! I'm starting to worry now, that if i don't get a 2hr discharge from hospital after little one is born, OH, DS and DD will all starve to death.
You would think! He is nearly 42 (on the 20th) and lived alone cooking for himself till he moved in with me seven months ago. Yet he would rather go hungry than cook something for himself on the one night I work late and am not home to cook for him.
Not even when I said that if he cooked then he could do double so I'd have something to eat when I got in from my 11-hour day.
Not sure whether he is more selfish or more useless?
I have had spicy tuna pasta anyway and it was yum:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

hey skinty no its like that in this house if i dont cook he doesnt eat...
Complete opposite here - I don't cook so I don't eat if OH doesn't cook! I would do tinned spag bol and toast and that's about my limit. I had a pampered childhood and my dad did all the cooking in our house too0 -
OH cooking is one of the reasons I'm a housewife! He makes a great beans or egg on toast, but he doesn't like cooking. I'm rubbish at it, but he is brilliant at smiling and saying yum through gritted teeth while attempting to chew a very burnt sausage.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

One of my sisters was named Clare by my Mum in hospital....until my Dad said no way, what an ugly name (sorry all Clare's!
) so they changed it to Alexandra!
.
This was in the day when DH's didn't usually go into the labour ward and obviously when people didn't discuss names before the birth :rotfl:.

my mum had 4 of us and my step dad had 3 to his first wife so we didnt have a choice we all pitched in and helped! when my mum was ill she knew we could survive and cook for ourselves! i get kids to help me lewis is a dab hand with a potato peeler and abi loves to set the table! never get megan to do anything as she will forget lol!! think that they will all be able to cook and they are great at making toast in the toaster(the only real cooking they are allowed to do unsupervised!) as for OH cheesy pasta and chips is the only thing he makes lol!What's for you won't go past you0
