I wouldn't. Once you start getting the visual voodoo the swelling will start and then they admit you. It was a shopping trip in Glasgow that started my swelling with DS1 and I was admitted a few days later.

Really you need to call your maternity hospital and go get your BP and urine checked tonight. Do you feel kind of... floaty? Walking about in a dream kinda feeling?

After the day I have had I would really say to you don't mess with pre ecclampsia it is serious. IM me if you want to talk.

On that note, my meeting with my Consultant didn't go very well and needless to say, I have made a horrible decision and am leaving you all. Wishing you all luck and health in your pregnancies, take care of them bumps and babes.
Oh hun, what happened, apologies you have probably explained but i've missed it.
Sorry to see you go xxxxxx

I'm really sorry to hear that hun :( Look after yourself and thank you....
Not sure about walking in a floaty type dream but scared... uhmmm frankly poo less... never had vision go weird like that and it was really really freaky!

Just going to wait and see what GP or nurse says I guess... it's a long drive to hospital if we need to go and if they can put my mind at ease I'd rather just go to see them...

Thanks for the IM offer - might need to take you up on that later :)

  • Sami - don't you just love eBay at the mo? I am selling stuff from round the house and getting silly money for some of it! I am going to sell some of my Radley bags soon - as I will probably get back most of what I paid for them anyway and ickle handbags aren't gonna be much use once bubs comes along!

Oooh, let me know when you do! Gone are the days when I used to buy 'this season'! :rotfl:. Just can't justify it any more :o and don't need any more :D but make myself feel better by buying them from eBay nowadays ;).

But I do confess to having a handbag AND changing bag at all times - just seem too lost without one .

I'm sorry - that must have been a very hard decision to make.

tiamai-d...Im so sorry to hear that....you take care of yourself....

MrsT...get yourself to your docs now...really you cant be over cautious

Well I had my mw appt this afternoon and i was worried she would tell me i was too big and i feel huge. im 15 + 3 but she said im measuring 18 weeks. hearbeat, uterus etc is exactly where it would be at 18 weeks. She said my weight is fine. only put on just under 4lbs.

I need to see the physio for my sore hips so need to go in a few weeks.

    Cant remember anything else.

FG....hope you feel better soon and get to see someone x

Well I've stopped panicking now... the nurse was really nice and calm and talked me through any other symptoms etc said the way I described the visual problem she doesn't think it's anything related but just to be sure she will speak to the doctor and call me back regardless.
However IF doc says not to worry then should it happen again tonight after surgery hours then not to hesitate to call NHS direct OR the hospital - whatever I feel happiest with - so long as I am reassured then not to worry about bothering anyone...
Daft as it sounds but she was so nice I burst out crying!!!!

  • Mrs T, I was always told its when you have two out of the three - high BP/protein in wee/blurry vision or headache.

Glad you got some advice and hope you're ok!
