My mother breeds Chihuahuas (note the correct spelling, Sami!!), and at the moment we have 6 chihuahuas + 1 Pug + 2 chihuahua litters. Total doggie count = 17. I fear that my mum will just treat Beanie like one of the litter. We always joke that beanie will be brought up by the dogs and will spend his/her days running around the doggie paddock. The dogs live inside but when they are upstairs have to go in a large playpen (which is almost the size of the whole sitting room). So Beanies pen can be placed near the doggie pen and it will be just like a zoo! I'd be more scared of the damage beanie could do to the dogs as they are so small!

Sorry been off having dinner (YUM!) and neighbour nipped in...

As for the more controversial issue - The reason I put "freak" in bracket is because that is exactly what they would be treated like whether consciously or not! Look at all the conjoined twins that have been on TV or in the news.
I think there is a large difference between terminating a pregnancy like this and one for potential downs... Yes I would probably treat them the same, but I have my own personal life experiences that have resulted in that being my view and choice. To ME the only reason to continue either would be nothing less than selfishness...
I do appreciate that to others their lives have been different and in their view terminating the pregnancy would be nothing short of murder. Not saying either is wrong, but that if I kept it then it WOULD be selfish, if someone else with prolife beliefs terminated it then it would murder.... because those are the beliefs of the person taking, or in this case not, the action... IYSWIM... I hope that makes some kind of sense... :)
I think it's the person "doing" whos belief that determines how the action ought be judged.
    quote]

MrsT I completely agree......I think its a very emmotive subject but especially as some on here have had worries concerning nuchal fold scans/ amnio or cvs results and what we would do should the worst happen. I think its awful to say to that person its murder and to be honest would be horrified if anyone said that to me.

It has to be the decision/ belief of those going through it x

Tine one of our dog bit a boy once and my Dad said straight away she'd be put down  I was devastated in floods of tears and went out to be with her, it was a hot summer's day (remember when we had them!) and I found loads of gravel and tar in her fur so shouted mum n dad to come n see. I said I knew she would never hurt anyone for no reason and they must have done something to her!
The boys dad came round later to apologise, He found out that his son & friends had lured her out of the garden and had been attacking her with sticks n stones!! the stuff in her fur was because she'd been cowering under the car to try to get away. the only reason she bit him was in self defense when she could see no other way out!
I told the bloke if I ever saw his son near our house again he'd need more than a few stitches to his bum, the evil little sod!
grrr the little brats:mad:   It's a rare dog that bites with no reason :o

Night night caz.. hope you get a good few hours :) We're always here for you!

Btw, was it Radox Sleep Easy you got? That can be tomorrow's bedtime plan!
  • Sleep tight Caz, tomorrow is a new day and hopefully a better day than you've had of late.
  • fritha and all other well-endowed ladies: where do you get your bras from? I'm a 38H at the moment and I keep an eye out for anything cropping up on ebay. As after this baby is born I'm gonna get so slim I don't want to spend a fortune on boulder holders if I can help it

I managed to get some from ebay a month or so back for a good price but I've only gone and grown out of them already!! Looks like i'll have to re-list them at some point.

To all thats suffering from achy bits and bobs I'm with you too so a big hug from me and to all those that are suffering with stupid man syndrome even bigger hugs.

random question: Does anyone have/know of trendy/stylish med alert bracelets?
I've been getting paranoid lately coz the MWs keep focusing on my penicillin allergy so thinking I should have one in case something happens to me when I'm 'alone'
