Sorry been off having dinner (YUM!) and neighbour nipped in...

Pets: We have a dog (obviously... she's my avvy lol) and 2 cats. I'd have a whole circus if I thought DH would let me! However...
Dog lives downstairs - never been allowed upstairs and the only times she HAS been up it's involved a shower or a bath so she's not enthusiastic about it anyway ;) Main reason was to allow the cats somewhere in the house they could get away from her. When DH and I first moved in together (well I invaded...) the rule was no cats in the bedroom - much gristling of teeth and many tears later the cats have their own room and our bedroom is a pet free zone... I love my pets and they ARE like my kids - however I could live with the risk of a cat getting into baby's cot and smothering her so they will not be allowed in the nursery - they WILL still have their own room though :)

As for the more controversial issue - The reason I put "freak" in bracket is because that is exactly what they would be treated like whether consciously or not! Look at all the conjoined twins that have been on TV or in the news.
I think there is a large difference between terminating a pregnancy like this and one for potential downs... Yes I would probably treat them the same, but I have my own personal life experiences that have resulted in that being my view and choice. To ME the only reason to continue either would be nothing less than selfishness...
I do appreciate that to others their lives have been different and in their view terminating the pregnancy would be nothing short of murder. Not saying either is wrong, but that if I kept it then it WOULD be selfish, if someone else with prolife beliefs terminated it then it would murder.... because those are the beliefs of the person taking, or in this case not, the action... IYSWIM... I hope that makes some kind of sense... :)
I think it's the person "doing" whos belief that determines how the action ought be judged.

Moving on to bra's... I'm dreading the nursing bra... my NORMAL size is 32GG/H... at the moment they have me in a wireless bra measured especially for the fact I'm pregnant and my ribcage will expand so am some odd size :) Lord only knows what I'll be when the milk comes!

While we're discussing pets, I have 2 really well behaved and soft staffies, who are fab with people esp kids.I would never leave any child alone with a dog in the room though, but my Bro has been saying there's no way he'd let his kids near my dogs:mad:   I just had to point out his son has bitten me 3 times, yet my dogs have never bitten anyone:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think its so silly how people get caught up with silly press coverage of dog attacks
I have inside knowledge of one attack and the only reason it happened was an irresponsible dog owner that had trained his dog to kill (the blooming thing was on steroids!) and then left a child and said dog with someone who didn't know how to deal with it :mad:

LOL @ candygirl - I have to agree, then again I always jump straight in with the dog attack threads on the pet forum and tell people again and again - punish the deed not the breed but DON'T leave kids alone with dogs! I don't care if it's a chihuahua (Sami love the chi-wah-wah or how it was you spelt it... GREAT :D) or a Rottweiler - you do not leave a child or toddler alone with a dog. Dogs don't understand human ways and it would be natural for a dog to nip if a toddler accidently hurt the dog, because that's what they'd do to a puppy to remind it that things hurt... but to us it would be unacceptable so you make sure the situation doesn't arise...

    Hmmm hobbyhorse of mine? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

OMG OMG.. Guess what? I can see the living room carpet!! I've hoovered for the first time in weeks :D I think MIL coming round shamed me into it, despite her saying "Oh, don't worry about me, I'll find a gap" as she picked up my coat from one end of the sofa and threw it on the pile at the other end! :o

Tine one of our dog bit a boy once and my Dad said straight away she'd be put down  I was devastated in floods of tears and went out to be with her, it was a hot summer's day (remember when we had them!) and I found loads of gravel and tar in her fur so shouted mum n dad to come n see. I said I knew she would never hurt anyone for no reason and they must have done something to her!
The boys dad came round later to apologise, He found out that his son & friends had lured her out of the garden and had been attacking her with sticks n stones!! the stuff in her fur was because she'd been cowering under the car to try to get away. the only reason she bit him was in self defense when she could see no other way out!
I told the bloke if I ever saw his son near our house again he'd need more than a few stitches to his bum, the evil little sod!
