As we are stuck with names, after the film yesterday we decided to let Baby chose his own name. I read out the names on the credits, and asked him to kick when he heard one he likes. Turns out this little boy wants to be known as Laura!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

I feel so fortunate being a SAHM, especially after reading through some posts
. I gave up work a little while before my first (m/c) preg so one salary has never been an issue for us and I have a fantastic family who buy us alot too
. I know that I couldn't return to work though or use a nursery.
MFD, glad you feel reassured!. I often have a cold fizzy drink to get my tummy moving (and then I wish he would stop :rotfl:). I'm sure Baby MFD will be stunningly handsome when you see him tomorrow!
Caz, I decided on my 4D scan a week before it was too late and they fitted me in! :T. Its not as clear as Poppy's though as he didn't have as much room at 32w!
I have been full of energy today with no pains or niggles . At least all the washing has been done, the swinging crib is all set up in our bedroom, the carseat is ready for action.....just waiting patiently for baby to arrive!.

Isn't that wierd? Going to bed with his little crib there waiting for him?? I haven't really thought about it but I kind of expected that nothing would actually be 'in place' til after bubba arrives...
I've got a lot to learn before this little boy arrives
How has poppy taken to the idea of another baby in the house SB - does she understand at all?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

That reminds me of one of my Dad's friends. His parents decided to let him choose his name when he old enough for school - until then he was known as 'Junior'. When the time came and he was asked he said 'Junior, of course, as thats my name'! :rotfl:

I still can't imagine him here. But we thought we had better get organised as he will be here sooner rather than later!
. Still feels quite surreal though.
Poppy hasn't got a clue! :rotfl:. We have bought her Baby Annabel to play with when Mummy has the new baby so hopefully she will be content with her own newborn.

I am sure poppy will be fine SB
I have just been looking up birth plans...how on earth do I decide how I want to give birth etc? It is all very real!! I haven't been to antenatal classes etc yet so I feel completely ill-informed (not something that I cope well with!)
Going to see my friend who had a baby girl in September on Tuesday so that will give me an opportunity to chat about the options a bit. It is all a bit daunting. I know people hardly ever stick to them but I think I need to do it to clarify things in my own head a bit.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Hi ladies - I haven;t time to catch up but I hope everyone is well!
We have been visiting the parentals thsi weekend and I'm a bit cross with my MIL - all she said to me was 'make sure you look after our grandchild won't you? Make sure you are careful. Look after our grandchild.'
I was that miffed I replied - Oh I don;t think so! I'm going abseiling tomorrow and then bungee jumping, and I thought I'd go on one of those extreme holidays where you wrestle crocs and eat bugs.
They don;t really do sarcasm but blimey! I am a person! What about me?! And as if I'd do anything to harm the baby! Cheek!
And i am annoyed with my neighbour too. We had a hedge at the front taken out and she is now driving OVER our garden to get onto her drive!! We are going to have to put a fence in now to stop her. Bloody woman - is she not capable of driving properly? Grrrrrr!!!

oh nesting! washing done crib set up cant wait til hes here SB think im all excited for you!!! i have been in a cleaning mode on and off and when there is a mess im getting very stressed out? dont know why either it never usually bothers me?
the baby annabel is a great idea we do this for ours, baby buys them all a present when he/she is born and they all seem quite happy!
skint my MIL must have thought i never ate as everytime we went around she would try and feed me up! its probably her way of being nice lol! now do you fancy going roller blading tom!:DWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
Ah Skinty - I am sure she didn't mean any harm. People are all of a sudden more interested in how well you are when you are pregnant! I am a bit bored by all the concern TBH!
Hubby has taken to hugging and kissing my bump before he hugs and kisses me...I know he means well and it is his way of bonding with bubba but I do feel that it is all about the bump sometimes
AND the bump gets in the way of a good cuddle - it feels like our feet are about 6 feet apart :rotfl:
Best sort out any trouble with the neighbours sooner rather than later - we have issues with ours coming into the porch to post the mail through (long story) and now I just want to cry everytime I realise that they have been inside my houseThing is, I wouldn't mind if it was the postman doing it!!
Hope you are well!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
One thing I made sure of was that DH knew the birth plan really well and what I did and didn't want. Because the midwife always seemed to ask me questions when I was in the middle of a contraction - so DH had to answer for me - or tell her she would have to wait. He was absolutely by far the best advocate for me & baby, as he wasn't afraid to ask questions or tell the midwife in no uncertain terms what I wanted if I wasn't up to dealing with it. I didn't have a big complicated birth plan - mainly wanted just to give birth without any medical intervention that wasn't necessary (such as pain meds, anesthetics, gas & air, or any of that stuff) and luckily that's what I had - but he also knew how I felt as far as c-section was concerned and basic interventions that might be needed.
LOL Skintchick - take care of our grandchild?!? When DIL was pregnant, I kinda just assumed she would take care of the baby. What a silly thing to say! So - didja enjoy your bungee jump?:rotfl:MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0
