bumblebee - sorry to hear that - Is there any way you can stretch to a taxi or get someone to give you a lift???
scarlsborough -I would phone and ask MW just in case. If they are worried and you aren't confident about going out they'll come to you (Or at least they should).r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
I'm itching for my bouncy chair to arrive!
Off to see if I can get some moses basket sheets online somewhere.
Does anyone on here do competitions, now i've got loads of spare time on me hands, I'm gonna start entering them from the comps board, well you got to be in it to win it!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
I actually have something moneysaving to report!
I've always fancied one of these since I fell pg
Glider chair and stool - http://www.johnlewis.com/230200640/Product.aspx
But together they come in about £500
I can't justify that and so was excited when Hubby found the chair and stool on kiddicare for approx £100. What a great saving I thought, until.....
I found a brand new one in our area for collection only on ebay for £42 for both chair and stoolThese things (good bargains) never happen for me so v pleased.
Now - all I need is to find a changing bag I'm actually prepared to carry around for a half decent price
So I have snapped it up and am so excited about it.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Hi AM,
I found MC to be quite pricey when it came to crib/moses basket sheets. I think Matalan was the best I had come across price wise, but they aren't shown on their website and you can only buy instore  I think it was £5 for 3 sheets or something similar.
What about ebay? Though i never seem to find the bargins others do.
As for comps, I know LouBlue and Gebe (from the BB thread) are great compers. I have started but then something has always happened and I have never given it the proper attention.0 -

I doubt very much that they will come to me as there is no midwife unit in my area they come from a town approx 5 miles up the road. They will probably expect my to get there. I dont drive and buses are very few and far between. They come to my surgery 3 afternoons a week - one of which is today. Thinking of ringing and seeing if they can squeeze me in but doubt it as they are normally booked for weeks in advance. Alternatively i could just see the doctor??0 -

well I would consider you a priority in the situation so I would suggest calling them, explain to the receptionist and ask to speak to someone on the phone be it a Dr or a MW?r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

have got heavy bleeding and have passed several large clots
have been in touch with epu, and they have basically just said i have to wait it out, and if it gets too bad to go to a&e, which is impossible as neither me or OH drive and we have a 2 yr old
We need a :grouphug: I am having the same problem but no clots yet! And a 3 year old to run around after. I finally managed to speak to an on call midwife today and it just turned out she will be my midwife if it all goes to plan.
She wanted to book me for a scan today but the hospital is fully booked untill tuesday. Again a bit bad when i am bleeding 4 days is going to feel like a year. She didn't really put me at ease but more prepared me for the worse which in a way is good that she isn't sugar coating it but still would have liked a bit of reassurance.
She told me i would be having an internal  What's it like anyone had one on here? This is my signature!0
