After some advise - I fell on the ice this morning while carrying my 2 year old to the car. I am 27 weeks and despite grazing my elbow and bruising my bum I think I am ok. I have felt baby move and there is no bleeding. Do you still think I should see the doctor/midwife?
Apparently baby is very well 'cushioned' in the tummy, and likelyhood is that there is absolutely nothing wrong, give the midwifes a phone even if it's to just put your mind at rest. x

If you're worrying it's probably worth calling the midwife you can probably get to go into hospital and have a listen to the heartbeat to make sure baby sounds ok! Or maybe she would come out to you with her doppler? Best to call and put your mind at rest I would imagine :)

On bumblebee :( Can you not get a taxi? Or there might be a patient transport number you can call in your area for a lift?

  • Think I will ring the midwife in a bit but not sure I should go out as worried I will fall again. Pavement right outside the house is like an ice rink.

Bumblebee - think if I was you I would get a taxi to A&E. Will be thinking of you x x x

Bumblebee, I know this wont mean much but I am very sorry to hear that you are going through this. Is there a member of your famliy or friend that could take you to A&E if need be?

Oh, I popped into Sainsburys today to take advantage of some of the 1/3 off offers. I wanted Sudacream but after last time didn't think there would be any on the shelves, but I managed to buy two small pots. I also got two of the red huggies wipes boxes that can go in your change bags. I had already got one with my points at boots, but am thinking i am going to have two changing bags and the extra one can stay in the house.

Bumblebee, I really think you should see a Dr. Is there nobody you could call on to watch the LO and run you to the hospital?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
