Hi all.. Glad everyone's well. I've been reading, just not had a lot to say for myself. I'm fine.. sickness isn't so bad these days, not sure if it's going of it's own accord or if it's because I've got some routine back of being at work etc. Will find out at the weekend!
In our spare room, we have a wardrobe/drawers/bedside table set plus a double futon. In our room, we have two massive triple wardrobes and a kingsize bed with a very chunky wooden frame (so it's about 6" all the way round bigger than then KS mattress) so there's barely any room to move in there now (my fault - slight measuring up error when we redecorated!). We're going to sell the furniture and futon from the spare room and move one our wardrobes into there, then shift everything around and make room for the crib/moses basket that way.
We're thinking of just buying another triple wardrobe the same (all from Ikea) to replace the one we move when it comes to the baby moving to it's own room and having all matching furniture between our and the baby's room.
I've been munching on grapes all day too! Keep eating granola and raspberry yoghurt with grapes and apple. Everyone else was grabbing handfuls of Christmas chocolates from my office so I was feeling saintly!
The company I work for is mostly men but there are women scattered around in groups - like us four in HR, and most of the Accts dept and then some technical girls all in offices together. I've told all the clusters of women now and word is spreading because the shift guys have been making comments to OH. Everyone seems very pleased and excited for us0 -

Am watching a couple Sami... If I can save £30 I don't care what colour combo it isA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Candy: if what you typed is correct then I really think Mw has got it wrong coz fundus should never reach 38, the biggest measurement on the graph in my notes is 36cm and thats for 40 wks gestation!0

I'd happily carry a baby boy round in a pink one if it saved me £30!! not sure my mum would approve tho  she complained that one of Chris's dummies was pink but it had a pigs face on it - pigs are pink mum!:p
MoneyM - turns out I'm not psychic then! even less time to wait until you see baby in the flesh! :j0 -
I had c/s in Dec1997, and VBACs in Apr 2000 and Jan 2006 - in fact consultant refused to entertain the idea of me having another cs for number 2. Think it depends why you have cs - I had fully dilated with DD but had no pushing sensation and she was a frank breech (folded in half) with bottom coming down - she got stuck and they let me push for over 2 hours before I had my cs (she wasn't in distress, but I was kn**ckered!)

Ooh, greent - you sound like me!
My C/s was May 97 because of frank breech - bum first, he got stuck but got eventually got in distress before c/s!
The VBAC in Oct 2000 and hopefully another VBAC very soon
I think maybe I got the consultants stats mixed up in my very mixed up brain!! I also managed to get DD to her dancing class, 2 hours and 1 day early this evening.:beer:0 -

Ladies thinking of getting a carrier/sling may want to consider this
"Why don't you have the forward facing baby carry on your site? Is there something wrong with carrying my baby this way?
The forward facing carry in any baby carrier places pressure on the pelvis and spine. When your baby is facing forwards with legs unsupported, the baby's back is essentially arched instead of rounded. The center of gravity is different which makes the carrier tend to compensate when walking as well. Some sites that sell baby wraps and carriers advise you to only use this hold for a limited amount of time and that no developmental damage will occur if the baby is not placed in this position for hours on end. We can't wholeheartedly recommend this position as we believe that any pressure on little developing hips and spines is undue. Moreover, all the weight is essentially in the baby's most sensitive place. When your baby is facing forward his legs as well are not supported. Your baby's legs should be pulled up to a ninety degree angle. This is possible only if the fabric covers the whole back of the thigh, virtually up to the backside of the knee. It also does not provide good head and neck support, which is most desirable when your baby falls asleep. Of course it is nice for your baby to be able to see the world. However, in the front carry your baby can't turn away if the environment becomes too overwhelming. You cannot see your baby's face and it's tougher to read your little one's cues. We at Sleepy Wrap do not advocate front carrying or think it is a good position for either mom or baby."
