If you get one that doesn't swing it will be very easy to move! the swinging ones are a bit more work but will be fine if you've had normal birth, if a c section I'd think it would be too much HTH xx

Just been upstairs to measure, and the space is only 41cm on each side. Can't find anything small enough for that, so seems like baby is going to have to go straight in a cot on the other side of the room! So much for me not having to get out of bed!

why not just buy a cot then feelie, really there is no need for moses baskets etc etc and if baby is use to sleeping in the cot from day one then you wont have the moving them issue:D or have you seen the hamock things??? not sure about them but if space is the issue!!

Yep you need a new house :rotfl:the one I thought you would like is 45.5cm so you would have room if you didn't swap sides and shifted the bed over a tidderly bit .
this is the one I hoped you'd like http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Portland-crib/dp/B001KA3XF8/sr=1-6/qid=1231446165/ref=sr_1_6/280-5010666-1617922?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44361031&mcb=core

We were looking at 4 Bed houses before things started to go a bit pearshaped with the economy. Waiting till things are a bit more stable before we buy. What I don't understand is why a house builder would make a bedroom that you can't comfortably fit a kingsize bed in.

45cm isn't that much bigger, I imagine if I just gave the bed a bit of a shift each way, it'd fit. Will talk to OH about it. Or it'll be back to the suitcase on the floor thing :D

I just like the idea of not having to get out of bed to feed in the night. I like my bed :rotfl:

I buy a bag of grapes a week for the rabbit, and I've usually eaten them all after 24 hours! There is something very addictive about grapes. Once I've had one, I just can't stop.

I'm falling asleep here. Past 3 days I've been so exhausted, dozing off all the time. Need OH to hurry up and get out of the bath so we can have dinner and go to bed!

I know what u mean there hubby says next house will be a new build so we don't have to do electrics, gas, walls, floors, windows blah blah like we did/do here but all I think is new builds all have tiny rooms!! I need a king size bed, bedside cabinets, dessing table and huuuge wardrobe! unless I'm getting a walk in wardrobe or a dressing room :rotfl:well a girl can dream!

I still don't understand whats wrong with those moses b's (ur a fussy nickers :p)
is it the hoods? coz you can leave them down and on some remove them or just use plain sheets in the moses instead of the patterned coverlet that comes with.
what do u want more to stay in bed or the "perfect" moses b? I think bed should win there ;)

Krystaltips - oh, I like that!! Only fear I would have is me dropping the baby out of the bottom on the newborn front carry! Other than that, I see it's just $5 more for extra long straps, so us larger mums can use it comfortably. Thanks for posting that link.

Well hubby just approved the sling and agreed on the extra long straps lol... Although I have read online that the regular ones will do up over a size 22/24, think I'd got for the xl just to be sure... Oh and you tie the waist bit arounnd you first so there's no space for the baby to drop out of the bottom when you put it in...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

We are in a three bed here. The smallest bedroom is my walk in wardrobe, and the 2nd bedroom is OH's gym! Baby won't his his own room! Suppose I'll have to move stuff at some point. There is just never enough space is there? At one point, we had two three-bed houses, and both were filled with junk!

Moses basket - the stands appear narrow enough, maybe the basket bit will be above the widest bit of the bed. Might just fit!

You know, I think I'm making excuses and finding reasons not to buy anything. Nothing is right, I've still not bought anything and really can't persuade myself. Don't have any labour stuff sorted either. Whats wrong with me? :o
