elastigirl - is there an Early Pregnancy Unit near to you? I believe most of them are self-refer and you could call them.

No there is only the clinic i mentioned that isn't open.

Just found one 40 miles away and it says Unfortunately women may not self refer to the unit.

elastigirl, it's so frustrating isn't it, they just don't care... I was 10 weeks when I saw the midwife, but I started bleeding at 11 weeks. I rang the midwife but they told me to ring the Dr, I rang the dr and they booked me straight in at the early pregnancy unit for a scan.... The 2nd time, I didn't realise I could self refer to the EPAU and I rang the midwife again, she wasn't bothered again and told me if it got worse to go to A&E... So I sat there for 3 hours, the Dr didn't have a clue what to do with me and just booked me back into EPAU for 3 days time...

I would definitely give your Dr a ring, just tell them you are pregnant and bleeding and need to see someone asap, they should do something for you.

My friend really didn't want a girl and knew she'd need to find out so she had time to get used to it, she did have a girl and had another in sept and loves them both looaaads!

My dad was desperate for a boy and he got 2 girls but fell in love with us once we popped out :D I think he love me even more now I've given him a grandson to do all his boy stuff with tho!

I wouldn't worry too much - he will love the baby just as much whichever flavour he/she turns out to be!
