4 days late now, & still nothing. This is the longest I have ever been pregnant :mad: . The other two were on time (DS2 arrived exactly on his due date!)

Have to keep looking at the 4d pics & dvd to reassure myself that there is actually a baby in there, & it's not all been some horrid mistake. Perhaps it's violent indigestion & a beer belly?

I thought we'd chosen a name, but with each passing day I'm increasingly heading towards more & more horrid names

Congratulations, looks like you and I are in the same boat. It's a bit scary isn't it?

I just have one silly question before I can retest tomorrow then ask for advice off my folks -

Can I have a hot bath?? Or does it need to be warm only now ?

JAM - people will tell you different things and I know a few of the ladies on here have gone for warm baths rather than hot. My midwife said it would have to be too hot to sit in to be too hot I have them as hot as before.

That said, be careful not to overheat and to keep hydrated.

Have I helped??? Probably not!!

JAM - you are supposed to avoid having baths too hot whilst pregnant.

I'm not obsessed about this I promise But I have weighed myself today and I still haven't put on any weight since 27wks (now 30+2). Even with all the junk I have eaten over Christmas.

I have been sticking (loosely) to Slimming World whilst pregnant, as I am trying not to repeat the weight gains I had with the other two:eek:

Do you think it will be OK, I do have another scan in 3wks and midwife 2 days after that, so I know I will be checked over then.

Oops about the hot baths, didn't know that! Anything else I've been doing that I'm not allowed?

Baby gets really active in the bath, its funny watching my belly wobble when he kicks.

Although today he is going mad, constant strong kicking.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didnt know about the hot baths! i had a pretty hot bath NYE then started bleeding 2 days later, could the 2 things be linked???

Bumble - I've had a very hot bath every day since I concieved, and everything is fine so far. I think its more things like saunas you have to avoid. Everything will hopefully be fine with you (I had a bit of bleeding at 13 weeks) but if it isn't, it won't be anything you've done. Just one of those things. Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know!).

Bubba loves baths too - it's like everything, there is always 2 schools of thought :rolleyes:



Daisy - I would call the surgery and talk to the receptionist if I were you. Unless there is a reason that the doc would want to see you (other meds or potential complications) chances are he won't want to know.

They don't re-test you or examine you - they just take your word for it - it's really strange!!
