Thanks greent, I'm not overly concerned there's something wrong developmentally... I think she gets them because she holds herself too long.. Or leaks a bit then holds herself some more... She's been brilliant while she's been at school, think the structured day forces her to go to the toilet regularly, plus her teachers look out for her too... Just having 2 weeks off for christmas put her back into her old habits... The Dr was keen to refer her this morning but he's agreed to wait and see how she gets on for a little longer... Poor madam is now gagging on her anti-biotics though, don't relish forcing them down her neck for the next week!

FG, did you see the pic of my pram body I put up the other day? It's a 2 in 1 and I don't think they come much brighter! Cost my Mum £100 5 years ago so good value for money I'd say!

Caz, my sister paid about the same for a bebecar for my nephew (might of been the same one but in denim?) She literally used it for a few weeks then went and bought him a £70 mclaren buggy, at least yours has done more than 1 baby!

My Mum had a friend with a vintage silvercross carriage she was going to nab for me but when she went to rescue it from the loft it had disappeared... Shame really, Aimee has the dolls version, would of looked sweet us both pushing our coach built prams to the shop lol

Oh and yeah, we watched Michael McIntyre the other night, he is absolutely hilarious! Well worth a watch...

And Sami, I used my bumper for exactly the same reason as you, I used to have it stretched along the back wall of the cot to stop dummies falling out and down the back... Never used it for anything else... Although I think my Mum's bought a new bumper and quilt set so I'll probably put them in to make the cot look pretty when it's taking up space before the baby comes...

krystal it honestly has been the best money spent on a pram! i love how big it is and the fact i can leave it in garden, walk with it and let baby sleep in it! Charlie slept for hours in it and he was always toastie when we took him out:D looking at toddler seat so i can still use it and get this excess weight off? just looked at pics on comp(was trying to find one of abi in it!) and there was pic of me in aug i look so skinny and OH said oh look at you there you look amazing, yeah thanks just what i need to hear!

i love the thought of Aimee having her one and you with yours:D have you tried freecycle! i have heard of people giving them away!

the bebecar has done well still looks new and it has every bit to go with it! sister has got a bargin there but she loves it as much as me so it isnt so bad.

Time for a stupid question now.. I'm tired and I've forgotten..

Is there anything I should avoid from an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet?

    Ta :)

I think I'd avoid prawns/scallops esp if its one where they are kept under a heat lamp (I would do that any way tbh) and if your avoiding peanuts then they could be hiding in some dishes but otherwise I don't think there's anything to worry about. I've been eating lots of chinese including stuffed crab claws and chilli salt squid did do with Chris too :D yum yum pigs bum :D

Ps. You don't need to avoid any served hot cooked shellfish but I always am a bit warey of prawns in chinese I think they never look quite right

I think Sami is right, as always!
  • elle - I think that prawns are the main thing - and they are okay per se...they tell you to avoid them in case you catch food poisoning. (I don't know anyone who has caught food poisoning from prawns for years!!)

Most chinese buffets are so popular that all their food is pretty fresh because of the turnaround. I wouldn't worry too much.

No whippy ice cream (not sure why this is springing to mind when I think of chinese  )

I have been in bits today with a sore back, bump and period type pains...have been resting up but not really getting any better. Sometimes I think it is better when you are busy and you don't have time to analyse every pain and twinge.

    Congrats to myaccount :D

  • well ive had some bleeding today :( not much, but enough to scare the bejesus outta me! been in touch with the EPAU and im booked in for an early scan on sunday morning, hopefully everything will be ok and ill see bubba x

ill be 7 weeks, is it likely to be an internal scan?
  • Oh bumblebee - try not to worry too much and rest up.

I think it differs from person to person as to what kind of scan it is. They will try a normal scan first and only go internal if they can't see anything

(someone correct me if I am wrong)

Being unfortunate to be poisoned by prawns in a chinese in the past I'm always very wary... To the point of spitting them out if the texture isn't right... Although last christmas I did this and gave hubby the rest of the prawns off my plate and he ended up with food poisoning instead lol...

Oh !!!!!!... I shared Aimee's soft whip icecream in pizza hut last week... Oh well... Don't seem to of got lysteria from it...

I went to the Dr for my free gaviscon today and I got something called peptac instead... Guessing it's the cheap generic alternative... Just working up some enthusiasm to have a chug of it...
