Serious question.. Is anyone doing hypnobirthing classes? I'm seriously considering it.

I have quite a problem with feeling "out of control" and fears of the unexpected - usually things like prefering to drive than taking public transport (in case the bus/train break down) and panicing that my luggage might not be on the same plane as me and not show up on the carousel at the other end, plus I absolutely hate (not that anyone loves it, I'm sure!) being ill as I feel like I'm never sure what form it's going to take and if I'm going to be suddenly sick or something (hence again the panic at actually being sick the other week!).

I really think the hypnobirthing thing sounds like it could keep me calm and feel more in control whilst in labour and even when it gets closer to around my due date.

So, has anyone done the classes or any research into it yet? There are three people in Lincolnshire who do it but they're all South Lincs which is anything up to two hours away so I'll have to hope they do weekend classes!

I thought I'd either missed something or you were having a psychic moment for LP! Speaking of which, where are you LP? How did this afternoon's scan go? :)

Sami, don't spoil the MM DVD - just tell me it's as good as we all expected! I didn't get it for xmas either. Was going to order it from Amazon for £6.98 then OH said it was in Tesco for £4.something!! Unfortunately it was just the price label and they'd sold out of the DVDs so I'll have to go back in over the weekend for it.

Sorry...still coming to terms with the fact that we've having to sell our lovely normal car to upgrade to one with 5/7 seats. Was considering a roof box for madam who is late! Can't park at all at the mo.....:o (pregnancy brain not helping at all). I just keep driving til I find a space big enough to fit atleast 3 vans in, then park there ;)

We finally got an SMax. The back two seats are useful, but not everyday seats IFYWIM. Looked at the Zafiras, but found the boot to be teeny tiny when all the seats are up. However, I still love what you can do with all of the seats..very clever!)

Hope you get the call you want.

We've got an SMax - have had since Sept 06 - pretty much when they came out :D We tried a VW Touran, a Zafira and a 7 seater Toyota - but DH liked the SMAx best - and it's his car (I've got an astra :rotfl: ) He said teh Touran was too van like, the Zafira too small and the Toyota was WAY too small. I like the SMax cos it looks more car like than some MPVs and the boot is the biggest in its class. We had a Zafira recently for a couple of weeks when teh car when in for some repairs and I have to say (considering I drive a Vauxhall and they're built on the same platform) I was surprised how much I didn't like it compared to the Smax. It is slightly smaller widthwise too - in our back seat (middle row) we can get a toddler seat in the middle (for a 2 year old, so a bulky one) and a booster seat either side - and they all fit properly.

We're looking at going to France this summer (with a 2 month old - are we mad?!) and should be able to fit all 6 of us and luggage in (we can get a travel cot on site, so no need to pack one of those)

Ooh - water infectuons (Krystaltips?) - my DD regularly had them at one point and had an ultrasound scan to check her kidneys/ tubes and bladder had grown enough (they had). Other than that they said she'd grow out of them and she did. They did say she may be 'prone' in general. Certainly not from me - I've never had cystitis or thrush - luckily!
