Elle: Lucifa is doing the classes but she hasn't been on here for aaagggeees (is everything ok luc??) and AF has got the book n CD off ebay to work through by herself :)

Elle, i am working my way though the book (cherry picking what i read to be honest) and i am going to try and put the cd on my MP3 player this weekend. i am a control freak and a major paniker/nervous person and am hoping it will give me some guidance on relaxing and staying calm.

Lucifa i havent seen for a bit either, i hope she's okay.

roz - congratulations on your lovely new arrival :T :T

skinty - MFD was right, i did say i felt a 'spinning' feeling rather than the butterfly or bubbles feeling that others talk of. because this is my first, all new to me and i think it was around the 16-18 week mark for me.

i'm 30 weeks today   think i have decided on a pram and possibly a crib.

i remember talk of not using cot/crib bumpers and the purple NHS book says the same. any ideas/thoughts/guidance???????

AF i find bumpers were just a step for babies to climb on and escape out their cot lol!!! they look pretty but TBH i wouldnt bother?? i also only use sleeping bags and blankets as the can be changed as and when required:D

i am worried about baby knocking their arms etc, but actually if i am meant to be putting baby down at feet to foot then they are a bit down the crib and may only reach part of the bumper.

they aren't cheap either are they!!!

oh so many things to think about.

although today i bought some dark towels to take in my hospital bag and three tommee tippee breastfeeding bottles (on sale for a £5)

i think your pressured into buying things you dont need, dont know how many things we bought and never used them lol:D honestly buy sheets, cellular blankets, fleeces and sleeping bags! then you can use them in crib/cot/pram etc!

have been buying lots of bibs this week esp from woolies!! really need to get throught his stuff and see what is there or im gonna have lots of one thing and nothing of another!! only 45 days to go!

:rotfl: hubby just spat wine across the room laughing at MM!!

AF I wouldn't bother with crib bumper as baby fills crib quite quickly so the will be close to the bumper, I used to wake up to find chris kind of underneath the bumper ie. with it over his face  so I stopped using it.
I did have one in the cotbed, mainly as it kept his dummie from falling out through the gaps and Chris isn't a climber :A
