Bumble, I had a succesful external scan at 7w something with my first pregnancy, and I have a somewhat well padded bump area... (read fatty fatty tum tum)

Hope all is well for you tomorrow!

well ive had some bleeding today :( not much, but enough to scare the bejesus outta me! been in touch with the EPAU and im booked in for an early scan on sunday morning, hopefully everything will be ok and ill see bubba x

ill be 7 weeks, is it likely to be an internal scan?

I'd assume if they didn't tell you to drink lots then it'll be internal, or they may try the usual way and if can't see then do internal, I think Skinty had a "normal" scan at 7 wks but not deff, I had one at 6wks and it was internal. sorry not really been of any help there
Hope everything turns out ok! x

.. (I don't know anyone who has caught food poisoning from prawns for years!!)..

Oh, my dad did two Christmases ago but that was sheer stupidity.. He left a bowl of prawns to defrost on the side in the kitchen, then when it came to using them, Dad thought Mum had rinsed them and Mum thought Dad had rinsed them and they went straight into a salad which Dad wolfed down.. Half an hour later and for the next two days he saw those prawns again through one means or another!

MFD, could your pains be Braxton Hicks? Just a random guess, I've not read up on them yet (they appear at the end of the book near the labour bit and I don't want to read about that and scare myself yet!).

Elle most likely wasn't the prawns if he got ill that quickly, according to the Dr that BIL saw after my hubby poisoned him with undercooked chicken (Which I warned him didn't look done!) it takes 24-48hrs before symptom arise from eating something off - unless its milk which obv makes you throw up instantly! _pale_

it says gaviscon alternative - the dosage is double what it is for gav though  it's the same stuff - sodium alganate
