Hi ladies,
have caught back up on the chat from last night. I think I need to come on here more often!
Speaking of gaining/losing weight - I've lost about a stone from my pre-conception weight, and even managed to lose weight over xmas (although not sure how the amount of food I've eaten!)
I think the main reason is I just can't eat large portions anymore, try as I might (and believe me I try) I just can't do it - when I'm full I'm full.
I'm looking on it as a good thing though - as I have tended to overeat/comfort eat in the past so I'm hoping that I can continue to eat 'normal' portions after the baby comes and keep steadly losing weight (as I do have a fair bit to lose!).
Thanks for all the suggestions on clothing for the inbetween stage. I live in joggers at home, but just feel they are too casual to leave the house - although to be fair they are only the £3 primark ones! However bump seems to be going through a growth spurt and with tacking a fold in the stretchy bit of my mat clothes they are actually fitting quite nicely now.
I liked the sound of the mat leggins though - thanks to whoever suggested them - can I ask where you got them from?

We discussed it too - I know I'd like at least a year with this baby before thinking about another one btu again we don't want to leave it TOO long... so I guess we'll just be careful... (hahahahahaha) or use condoms. At least it's not a case of the end of the world if it DOES happen quicker than planned - it's just we'd like a short gap between them
After number 2... well we don't plan on having any more than 2 so guess we'll talk about DH getting the snip rather than me having a hysterectomy but we'll see what life bringsDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Can you take the pill if your breastfeeding?
I haven't really thought about what to do after, but I don't think I really like the idea of going back on the pill....0 -

I suppose it'll just be not try but not prevent, and hope that it'll happen at the right time!
I don't think I'd ever be able to let OH have the snip. How do you ever decide that you don't want more babies? Thats just such a huge thing, to never have more babies.
I could cope with only two children, but to only have two babies?!
(Oh, and any random FB requests are from me!)
The snip can in most cases be reversed FG... that's why it's recommended over the woman having an op.
As for the Depo - to be honest I'd be concerned if they recommended it for you... It's a known side effect that you can gain a lot of weight (which is hard to loose again!) and quite quickly. I put on weight both times I was on it - once after 18 months of using it with few problems, the second time I think it was 9 months before the weight just piled on despite being on a strict diet... Never did manage to get the second lot of weight back off... *sigh*
If they are already concerned about your BMI they shouldn't be putting you on Depo which will just be making it harder for youDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I can't seem to make up my mind. This was so much of a 'fluke' baby, that I don't know if I could use contraception and risk missing out on having any more! On the other hand, this pregnancy has been quite tough physically so far, and I can't imagine being pregnant and having a baby to look after.
Any ideas?
I want at least one more and so does Dan, but I'll be flucked if I'm leaving another 5 year age gap :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Interesting that some say it's contagious
I've never caught it off him and the one time I've had it he'd not had it ages and he didn't catch it after me either
Ah well... he's cocooned in a large duvet with a pot noodle (yuck) feelign sorry for himself but hogging the Sky remote... oh well
Take conjunctivitis(sp?) it's contagious but I've never caught it of DS when he's had it.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

i think were just going to go back to condoms, until we make any longer tem decisions, then if we decided to wait a while before #3 i will probably go for the injection, im useless at the pill (managed not to get pg on it though)0 -
is it true you are less fertile when BF?:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

My hubby is having the snip next monday. I could cope with more babies (I now have 4 kids) but I couldn't go through another pregnancy. I really had a tough time for the full 9 months and to be honest I just felt too old for it all
(I'm 39).
But, I decided after my 3rd that I wouldn't have any more kids, mine are 18, 12 and 11. So, our little lily was a surprise holiday baby. having said all of that, it does feel very final and I'm not looking forward to the day it's done.:A

Age is a problem for us. I know OH doesn't want to be a particularly old Dad, can't see him wanting more babies after turning 45. That'd mean I'd only be 32 and wouldn't be having any more!
Suppose I'd be old enough to foster then, so could look into that.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
