As long as there is no pain and cramping it could well be nothing to worry about. It wouldn't hurt to get in touch with a midwife just to put your mind at rest but don't expect them to do much...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hi ladies,

have caught back up on the chat from last night. I think I need to come on here more often!

Speaking of gaining/losing weight - I've lost about a stone from my pre-conception weight, and even managed to lose weight over xmas (although not sure how the amount of food I've eaten!)

I think the main reason is I just can't eat large portions anymore, try as I might (and believe me I try ;) ) I just can't do it - when I'm full I'm full.

I'm looking on it as a good thing though - as I have tended to overeat/comfort eat in the past so I'm hoping that I can continue to eat 'normal' portions after the baby comes and keep steadly losing weight (as I do have a fair bit to lose!).

Thanks for all the suggestions on clothing for the inbetween stage. I live in joggers at home, but just feel they are too casual to leave the house - although to be fair they are only the £3 primark ones! However bump seems to be going through a growth spurt and with tacking a fold in the stretchy bit of my mat clothes they are actually fitting quite nicely now.

I liked the sound of the mat leggins though - thanks to whoever suggested them - can I ask where you got them from?

    Stargirl

Hi, Might have been me, I love my leggings..... I got them from peacocks £8 each, and I got all my stretchy dress jumper things, from Primark, spent no more than £50 all in. I was well pleased and know exactly what to wear next time!

Talking of next time:D I do want one more after this and also want a fairly close age gap. I was thinking of condoms, problem I like to choose when to have the babies, and DH would have too much say in the matter that way;). I don't want to go back on the pill as I was having terrible trouble with it, after 10yrs on the same one it started to affect me, and each new one I tried sent me funny too.
I knew many years ago that I wanted 4 children, so after number 4 either DH will get the snip or I will get sterilised.

    Mel x

I've been banished from our house! OH has developed man flu plus a dodgy stomach so he's told me to go to my parent's house for the night. I don't really want to leave him on his own but then I don't want to share a bed with him tonight either! :(

We haven't really discussed "the next one". I'll be going back on the mini-pill - was on it for four years before coming off it and getting pregnant within six weeks last time. I think it'll come down to money with us - depends if OH gets a better paid job or until we get a huge chuck of his debt paid off.

Thankyou for all the info on slim girls having c-sections. My friend was very insistant on me finding out about them but obviously she sensed my irritation from the tone of my voice cos she apologised for being so forthright earlier today. Like I said, I'm not keen and I'd rather do it naturally if I can.
  • Could anyone give me some advice on NCT antenatal classes. We found out that our PCT only offers antenatal classes in the day, reading between the lines I think that this might actually be to exclude fathers being embarrassed (according to the midwife). They do offer a labour in motion class for both of us that we can go to.

I signed up for the NCT classes because these are in the evenings and initially I thought we could meet the cost at £173 but now we are coming to my last 3 months of my full pay it will be a bit a of struggle to find the money. We wouldn't qualify as low paid for their subsidy. What I wanted to know was whether they are worth paying for. I am living in a new area and I don't really know many people and I thought the NCT might be a good way of meeting people although the classes are are about 5 miles away.

Anyone got any experiences of the classes and are they worth it?

Thanks and happy new year to you all xx

ok i must be the unluckiest person in the world when it comes to contraception but it seems to be a family thing rather than just me:D

was on the pill with no1, depo injection with no2, mirena coil with no3, had implant but was removed as Charlie was planned and was put on pill with no5 while waiting for steralisation appointment!. i can be booked in after baby is 6 weeks but TBH i think this is rather soon?

each to their own but i have 13 months between first and last 2 and think that it can be a bit much sometimes and the better age gap is between Lewis and abi which is 3/4 years as they play happily and know each others boundries. saying that the older 2 are really close and its hard to separate them sometimes??

well looks like a quite night here i never got car due to seller stating it was one place but turnd out its more like 200 miles away:( would have loved it for new year visits. oh well heres to a fantastic 2009 everyone:D xx
