I was 12 weeks when I found out, so skipped a large chunk of the pregnancy! So, I've only known about it for 12 weeks and a few days.

We haven't decided whether we might have another but if we do it will be reasonably soon afterwards (hubby is 42).

Perhaps the Mirena? An IUD (coil) with hormones - can often totally remove periods or at least considerably lighten them. I went on it between 3 & 4. Periods come back reasonably quickly (couple of months). It's smaller than a standard coil and can last for 5 years!!!
