Our blender packed up over xmas and as OH is usually the only one using it, I let him buy a cheapie one usually. However, I intend to blend babies food later on and thought we ought to invest in one that will stay the course. Any recommendations?
Welcome to all new arrivals and new comers too. It makes me feel old!
Jealous of all those with their scans today, hope all goes well. I wanna see beanie again! Got MW appt on Friday so will have to be content with listening to heartbeat.
mooki - I have a kenwood chef all singing and dancing thing which is great, but is expensive. For just processing, I cannot recommend a magimix highly enough - however there are much more mse options out there. I would try asking over on teh old style board and see what they recommend.

For smooshing baby food, I found a hand blender worked better than a big food blender... Don't intend on doing any smooshing this time tho... Baby led the whole wau (in theory)
I'm off for a shower now, off to meet hubby from work and meet up with some friends of ours... A bit annoyed really because it means a 90min journey for me and Aimee and no more than 10 mins for them, I asked hubby if he could arrange something a bit more in the middle for next time we met up but of course... Being a lazy sod, he didn't look into anywhere we could meet so i'm stuck with all the travelling...

Hi all!
Congratulations to SB and Miss C - looking forward to reading your birth stories.
Well I am 11+1 today and am worrying a bit cos all my symptoms have gone except for lumpy nips. From what was said earlier I'm assuming it is OK but I really am worried that at my scan next week something will be wrong.
I know there's no point doing a Pg test or anything, but as I am sat at home with nothing to do except feel incredibly cold it's hard to distract my mind.
Plus OH made me cry this morning after being nasty to me last night. Not sure what's up with him but I hope he snaps out of it soon. Really don;t feel appreciated by him at the moment, after I went to so much trouble over Christmas lunch all he has said to people is that it was 'OK'.

mooki - re: a hand held blitzer I have a £5 tesco value one which is fine for things that are a thick soup consistency, but no use for anything drier really.
skintchick - please try and stop stressing, it's not good for you or the bump. symptoms are funny and everyone is different (as I keep finding out!). Your next scan can't be far away and we all have our fingers crossed. put your feet up and eat some more christmas chocolatesorry to hear that your OH isn't being very communicative - keep remembering that cuddles and talking are good and christmas is a funny time even when pg stress isn't involved
