Congrats to the new mums. Not been on properly since xmas, spent my 1st week off feeling shattered. Funny how it's only when you take a break from work that you realise how tired it was making you. Hope everyone had a good time. I went to the sales yesterday to get a new bra but once I got there I couldn't be bothered. I hate shopping, much prefer the internet. Will probably go back when quieter but to M&S not Mothercare.
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
  • good luck to all with scans today, enjoy them :D
  • I've just realised I'm 39 weeks now... what with all the Christmas excitement I forgot another week had gone past! What a plonker.

So ladybird - are we sending labour vibes to you yet? Or are you content to wait it out? Of course, that being said, we sent tons of labour vibes to SB and she went 11 days late! :rotfl:

  • Hi ladies, can I join the club please? I got my BFP on 16th December and I am 9+2 and due on 3rd August 2009, this is my second child I have a DD who is 15 :D
  • Elle - I have found the aquanatal classes fantastic. I wasn't overly fit beforehand but I love the exercise (helps with breathing as baby starts to take over the space where your lungs used to be) and both bubba and I sleep really soundly after a class.

The classes here are only 45 minutes and are all done in the shallow end - water up to your boobs to provide support. You can't go until 15 weeks but I would highly recommend it.

I have met loads of ladies due around the same time as me - one of the physios at the hospital yesterday goes to my class too which is useful for local pregnancy related gossip!

Best of all, the classes are taken by midwives so I get the opportunity to have a chat about all of those little niggles that you don't want to bother calling your own MW for.

Have been swimming a bit too - I love it, but then I have always loved swimming anyway.

You only have to worry about breast-stroke legs if you have SPD. Even then you can do breaststoke arms and little kicky legs.

    ooo - -that's long!!

Welcome to the new ladies, look forward to getting to know you.

    Morning all.

Our blender packed up over xmas and as OH is usually the only one using it, I let him buy a cheapie one usually. However, I intend to blend babies food later on and thought we ought to invest in one that will stay the course. Any recommendations?

Welcome to all new arrivals and new comers too. It makes me feel old!

Jealous of all those with their scans today, hope all goes well. I wanna see beanie again! Got MW appt on Friday so will have to be content with listening to heartbeat.

  • Yep, I've got 2 bags - one for me and 1 for the baby. I just need to add last minute things, like my toothbrush. Go for it with the labour vibes, although it might be worth waiting half an hour or so, as I'm just about to cut my hair, and I don't want to have to stop half way through
