I'm stuck at owrk too. MSE passes the time a bit.

I knew that my mum would be really happy for me but it's still nerve wracking isn't it.

It just happened when I turned up Xmas Eve my Mum, Dad and sister were all there together (a rare occurance - believe me). When I came out with it my mum and sister cried. It was a great reaction. Just got the OH mother to tell now. Hopefully Sunday night, she does live 200 miles away though so will be a treck.

How long you in work for Candice? I'm stuck here until 6. Grrr! Nothing to do, don't know why they bother having me in really.

  • Hi Ladies, glad you had good xmasses!

Well dh and I had a fab Xmas! Did my usual M&S sale shopping on Xmas day morning cause I am sad like that :o:rotfl: (it will probably be the last year I will have time to be on laptop on Xmas day as well!!) Bought loads of baby clothes - 7 pack of body suits £3, 5 pack baby socks £3 etc.

This morning we went down to Mamas and Papas and I bought 3 maternity tops and THIS moses basket and stand!! It was such a bargain at 1/2 price I couldn't resist.

Over the last few days I have started to actually look pregnant (I am 14 weeks tomorrow) rather than just looking fat :D . I only have 1 pair of jeans that fit me now and they are starting to get tight - so I bought some maternity jeans in dorothy perkins just before Xmas, and I think I will have to start wearing them within the month!

What do you two do? :)

I've been online sale shopping.. potentially two orders from Next (although no confirmation email for either!), one from Peacocks, one from La Senza (three pairs of PJs and four pair of "baby related slogan" pants) and one from Candle City (treated myself to a Yankee Wax Burner after Caz mentioned them the other day). All necessary bargains you understand :D

I'm back in the office Mon-Wed, then on Fri we're going to Shropshire for a few days so I've also been looking up places to eat and go whilst we're away and looking up directions etc.

Going to get dressed soon then tidy the house. We're going sale shopping tomorrow for a laptop for OH. He's been banging on for ages about wanting one so that he can play his comp games in the living room and at least spent time in the same room as me for a change :)

Well we have returned from TV swapping and a quick dash to MK centre  - did get a few bargains before we gave up :)
firstly the TV was a steal! 32" Sony Bravia for £400... Can't really argue. We got £587 back from the Samsung so I'm £187 up on that one :)
Then we went to town and braved the crowds in H&M - a pair of jeans £15, 2 pairs of work trousers £10 each and a nice soft cardigan type thingy £10 - all in the sales and it's their H&M Mama range :) result! Then I trotted in to Lush and although the SUPER bargains were gone yesterday I spend about £24 and got 2 boxes of stuff and 2 bath fizzy things and a bath melt :) Not too shabby me thinks!
Then we made a quick stop at Toys'R'Us and the rocking stand for the moses basket was down to £9.99 so bought that and am eyeing up a cot bed that is in the sale too but Dh wouldn't let me buy it there and then... spoilsport! *sulk* - you'd think the boot was full of TV or something! :rotfl:

So a good day all in all really :) And tonight we have duck in redwine and plumsauce salad - yuuuuuum!!!!

And only 3 days till our 20 week scan! WOOHOOOO

Oh it's livened up in here a little now. I just do admin for car supermarket. Have to do every other weekend which sucks.

I just went to the toilet and I'm spotting blood again (2nd time in a couple of weeks). No pain, any ideas who I should contact on a weekend. Should I just go to the hospital?

Jvic, are you registered with a midwife yet? Give her a try - I think they work five days out of seven but get two random days off, not necessarily the weekend so her mobile might be on (I think that's how mine works anyway). Or if you have an EPU at the local hospital you could call them. I don't think you'll get a scan on a weekend unless it was really heavy bleeding - remember spotting isn't always something to worry about (although I know it doesn't feel like it at the time!).

I know, thanks Elle. My midwife said if I get spotting to call the GP, but we have an EPU in Cardiff so I might try them. The bleeding isn't heavy but it's happened a couple of times now and my scan isn't booked until 2nf Feb which is an age to worry about it. Thanks.

    Yes, totally your fault! ;):p

I was browsing the Grabbit board and there was a mention of Candle City and Yankee candles so I thought I'd browse and came across the wax tart burners. We have a huge fireplace covered in candles and rarely light them but we did the other night and it was so nice that I thought the burner might encourage us to use them more.

Oh...swipe that. I just checked online and the EPU clinic is Mon - Fri 8-4. Might just go along to the hospital and see what they say. Probably a waste of time but I worry.
