Elle, When I saw you were the last poster I thought "What is elle doing up before lunch?" :D
Me and Chris slept in, got up at 10.22  so much for getting back into a routine! Although I blame that on my "lovely hubby" not doing his bit last night while I was in tesco and then visiting Daddy in hosp

Hypno: I know its basically whats been said but I'll tell you anyway ;)
With my first the thought of m/c never even entered my head (I was 20 when got bfp and already 9wks gone) but this time as we had been ttc I was a bit obsessed and had an implantation bleed which scared the bejesus out of me!
It was a horrible time especially as at the same time my fried found out she was having an eptopic preg. I was a bit of a mess with worry, vcried most days and felt bad that I wasn't paying my lil boy much attention coz I felt miserable but it all turned out fine! I was technically worrying over nothing which is a futile thing
so what I'm trying to say is if you worry it may go wrong it most likely won't, if you don't worry the same thing applies, take each day as it comes and look after yourself,
Sorry yet another preg lady gibbering nonsense its not our fault, our babies have stolen our brain!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

Thankyou all, I feel a bit silly but it's hard because there's not many people i can talk to about it yet and i just need a bit of reassurance, I spoke to OH a little while ago as well and he said the same really, that what will happen will happen and worrying about won't change it...I'm really looking forward to Christmas (even with no booze) and i did find out one positive thing from my research....apparently having chocolate daily actually reduces the chance of miscarriage...well that's good enough a reason for me!

a special thankyou to elle and Hedgehog too for talking about your experiences with miscarriage, I'd rather hear about it and know what the reality is, I need maximum information to settle my overactive brain!

On the upside, my boobs have been really sore, don't know if i'm much in way of sickness, more a level of nausea but yesterday wasn't too bad, who'd have thought i'd actually be wishing to feel sick...it's madness this pregnancy lark!

I'd be offended if it wasn't so true! :p My mum just signed in to MSN and our conversation started with us both saying "what are you doing up so early?!" - see where I get it from! Hopefully I have a baby who likes a lie in too! :D

SB, where are you? Come quick or we'll all start getting excited! :p
  • Hi all, hope everyone is well!

Getting really, REALLY fed up now . Was downstairs at 4am watching Birth Stories on Discovery  until 6:30am but at least Poppy didn't wake up until 8! :T. Then I realised that the MW was coming so it was a dash in the shower and then The Wait....but luckily she came at 10. Everything is fine and BP is behaving (but I was secretly hoping it would be sky high and told to go straight to hosp :o).

DH has gone to his Mums and my sister has taken Poppy for the afternoon so its back in bed for me (with 7 Up, crisps and a Rolo donut :D:o).

    xxx
  • Rolo Donut :T - where, when, how, tell me please...............

Hypno, it felt like the longest ever time between doing my home test and having a scan at 12wks, convinced myself i might not be preggers despite the naseau(sp?) and sore boobs. There are long waits but the proof when you get it ,scan, kick etc etc is FANTASTIC :j

Also I found it easier to go week by week, still do, mw was on a monday and i get mondays off, then scan on a monday, so every monday is happy ??week. Seems to go quicker but maybe just me???

    Morning girls!
    I'm blooming shattered!
OH woke me up at 2.30am complaining of pain when he was breathing, ended up down the hospital till 6am, he's got the start of pleurisy.
    I'm soooooooooo tired still!
Need to go bed really early tonight as I'm on a night shift tommorrow.
I probably need to get used to it but it's really taking it out of me, I think I'm going to take maternity leave as early as possible, I'm only going back to work part time 2 or 3 days a week so dont feel like I'll be missing out too much.
Off to my Mum's today as me aunty is down, so I'm gonna try and wangle an invite for tea LOL
    Hope everyone is ok.
Ooh just a question, I'm 23 weeks tommorrow and sometimes when I sit down it feels like baby is under me ribs, am I just imagining it or can it be like that so soon?
