  • AF sorry you feel so down, I know it just makes it worse when your colleagues are inconsiderate. can you put in for overtime or go and abuse the hot drinks machine at least, maybe a quick gossip with someone else working through to perk you up.

One other thing, by time you get home you'll be pleased you made it through the day and your effort on this occassion can be back-up for another time when you need to leave early etc

AF - you have to put your foot down and just pace yourself. Don't rush. Things will get done and you won't feel nearly so stressed that way. Make sure you take breaks and allow yourself time to destress!

MIL just left a little bit ago - we made a bunch of sausage rolls, little mince pies, a mince tart, and some chocolate cherry scones. Yummmmm. The house smells great! DS is walking around nibbling a sausage roll.

Oh my little aussie angel! can't someone else do some of it? if they can or even if they can't be strong and say "NO I can't do it coz I'm effing doing too much already!" :D
    Big hugs! xx

    Thanks Sami,
No one else today, i am the only one of the 'girls' here. Just at that point you know where even the smallest thing that wouldn't bother you on any other day just brings tears to your eyes. I hate it becuase it makes me feel weak, but in my position you end up being an agony aunt to some of them and then they dont think of you. Oh well, i need to grow up and realise that people are only out for themselves (even though i wont reduce myself to this level) and it's only people that love me that worry about me.

Thanks again for letting me off load

  • AF - if bubs is moving s/he is fine...don't feel guilty on top of everything else - it is not like you are drowning your sorrows with a dozen large G&T's (now THAT would be something to feel guilty about)

Don't let the barstewards get you down ;)

    is this your first candice?
I'm loving feeling movement for this one, I'm only 16wks but its my 2nd and I've been feeling it move every now n then for about 2 wks now, the last few days its getting more and more :j I feel it at least twice a day now :D

ETA: I'm gonna see if there's some scales when i see MW after scan coz it seams that all my fat is moved from my extremities to my boobs n tummy so I wanna see if I'm the same weight. I'm not wearing my watch now coz my wrist is skinny it keeps spinning round now :grr:

Oh bless you MFD - you know what, i could so go a dozen large G&Ts. Funny I wasn't much of a drinker before I was pregnant but since I have wanted to have a drink on sooooo many occasions.

Well the other two have come back laughing and carrying on from lunch with their nice lunches (me crappy banana sandwich cause I didn't have time to go out).

One did ask if i was okay, but if i answered honestly i would have burst into tears and i am soooooooo not doing that in front of a colleague so just said 'yep'.

my tummy tightens a bit at times too. think the stress is probably doing that as well.

Could those be Braxton Hicks contractions? I get a lot of those, and I have no stress, so don't feel bad about that!

Boy isn't this true! I'd be mortified if my little one was rude - but tantrums here and there for a 2 year old? they happen - although luckily very rarely at this point. I always just say "NO is the END of the conversation, not the beginning." They know that once I've said NO the discussion is over.

    !

I have a quick question for any ladies who are mummies already regarding tantrums. I know a family where one of the children (who is 7) still has temper tantrums everyday. She screams, bangs doors, etc every day before school (This episode lasts 10 minutes or so and has been happening for the 2 years I have known them) - is this normal? Whats your thoughts? (Obviously without knowing the child I know it's hard for you to judge.)
