I'm only going to able to talk to him if I'm wearing a purple antenna, a green wire out an orifice and a small keyboard strapped to my bosom. Now where does the romance fit in wearing that lot?:rotfl:

I'm sure if you google it there will be instructions :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Oh hamster!! thank you so much, you have made me laugh so much!

I probably won't need to google it, he'll spend at least 45 minutes telling me how he made it and another hour and a half telling me how it works and then ten minutes positioning me on the roof for the best reception!

i disagree with KTjazz. boys are stupid full stop, men are stupid most of the time but not all.

my OH is great at talking, thats the main problem in our relationship, he talks about how much he loves me and wants to get married and be a dad then...nothing! grr, men!

I'm with KT though, there is a reason you keep coming back to each other, i'm pathetically sad with things like this. I don't think that means let bad behaviour slide because there's a reason you two are being pulled together, but maybe keep it in mind?

    hi everyone btw! xxxx

Hello Jill and welcome! I've always had the theory that men and women are different species, they struggle with us just as much as we struggle with them.

Oh I meant to share, he said the reason he couldn't stay away from me is because I make him laugh and I've got nice teeth???!!

The straighter and whiter your teeth are, the better reception he can pick up when he finally gets the comms gear set up... or so I've heard.

It could be worse, mine once told me the reason he fell in love with me was because of my big heart (he giveth) and that for someone so intelligent I could be gloriously and hilariously dense (and he taketh away...)

If you need to talk to someone confidentially call Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 or email jo@samaritans.org
My heart knows me better than I know myself so I'm going to let it do all the talking.

    Hi Piq,
i agree with the others. There is a reason you keep getting back together, there is something very good between you both. But he must talk to you and understand when he is away,he needs to be in touch with you a bit more.I really hope it works out for you,as you deserve to be happy.

Lurker here. (I really must change my user name to Lurker as I always announce myself that way). If experience has taught me anything at all its firstly that you cannot go through life looking over your shoulder at the past because all that happens is that you fall over your feet. And secondly that people (men) are as they are and even if they change in the short term eventually they will revert to type. Thirdly is that nothings perfect but some things are better than others and if you miss him when he isn't there then why send him away.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.

:rotfl::rotfl:Best keep flossing then, can't lose reception...

Nothing wrong with being gloriously dense, sounds magnificent...

He's just emailed me a link to download some software for communication....

Good introduction at parties "hello lurker here"I like it a lot! I may borrow it, if I'm being ignored...Please don't lurk any more, come and make friends!

On a more serious note, you speak very wise words, it is no use looking at the past and although it makes you what you are it cannot be changed, all you can do is take the experience.

I think we all know, I'm not sending him away, just fighting the inevitable I suppose. Afraid to take another chance on him, maybe?

Have suggested that as he is such a geek, he could set up all sorts of fancy comms gear, he was quite excited at the idea  Joy.....I'm only going to able to talk to him if I'm wearing a purple antenna, a green wire out an orifice and a small keyboard strapped to my bosom. Now where does the romance fit in wearing that lot?:rotfl:

    Flirty QWERTY? :D

But seriously, glad he's sent you the link - sounds like a promising response.

Thank you cassey, such kind words from a stranger, I am genuinely touched that folk are reading my sporadic ramblings.

Hmm, he hasn't send any instructions for the bit where the computer says No or rather don't have the application necessary to launch download. Looks like communication is over for the evening. He did try though :D
