You can sympathise with his female friend though, I don't know any girl that doesn't like their men just a little bit dangerous!

Hi Piq,
Gald to hear Captain is doing ok, bless him.
I woke up at about 3 this morning to find my lovely little cat had brought in another mouse and was playing with it right beside my head!!
I think currently I have about 3 mice loose in the house and have had to get some traps, bit of a sad state when I have to buy traps to catch the mice that my cat keeps brining in!!
bless him

Hello Dex - OMG:eek::eek::eek: I think I'd have the heebie jeebies at that, I'd be on permanent mouse patrol, shaking out my pyjamas and generally panicking about any unexplained wriggling....
I have a cat too, luckily, he is the thickest cat in the world and doesn't catch mice, does a good line in dead leaves which he proudly leaves at my feet in the hope I might open the fridge!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Daily update
Have had a confirmation of receipt letter regarding my ppi claim. It has been passed to the relevant department and I will hear back from them in five days. I’ve read up on it on the ppi thread and the bank I’m dealing with will send the “thanks but no thank” letter. Just need to wait for it to arrive and then send leter 2.
Feeling a bit down, can’t ride and have had the extra expense of two bolts and a vet bill to contend with! Mustn’t let it spoil things though ie, buy myself a present to cheer myself up. Just means the rest of the month is tight, I can through to the 25th all the bills are paid and the vet bill will wait until the end of the month if necessary.
Also forgot a couple of key items from the weekly shop so have to go out at lunchtime and pick them up, was hoping for a nsd too! But a daily salad needs it’s lettuce! Will be making a batch of tomato sauce tonight, one half for an aubergine parmigiana and the other for a crispy chilli gnocci, have no idea what it’s real name is! But it is fantastic, it's my version of a meal I had in a restaurant once.
I’ve realised that two of the challenges I’m doing namely the sealed pot and the no spend days cancel each other out. I can only have loose change if I spend…..Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Daily diary update
I'm royally cheesed off, I called MBNA who own my A&L card to ask if they would reduce the interest rate as it's a whopping 34%. And the answer was?......no! Apparently their marketing people set the rate. I work alongside marketing and we don't have anything to do what the client is charged. I am so cross I have eaten a chocolate bar, that'll teach them - ha!
Over the Christmas period I paid and extra £68.91 off the wretched thing, so I suppose that's something. I was geared only to do minimum payments but not put anything on any cards. I did well really.
I am going to get myself into gear and clear this card as soon as I can and then I'm going to tell everyone I come across not to use them.
...and they owe me for the chocolate bar, it's their fault I bought it, spoilt a nsd
On the plus side I've earned another £3 from Pinecone.

I hope you are waffling away as I type this little reply.
You're doing great. Don't forget that. You've done way more than you thought you'd be able to and you, like me, will get there and we'll be where we want to be - stress free and proud of course cause we've done it under our own steam.

Thanks KT, just frustrated! I'm luckier than a lot of the people that post on the site. I've always met my payments, it must be soul destroying for them, dealing with such implacable bullies.

Your right. They are bullies. I am dreading what my % will change to when my 0% runs out in March this year. You are doing brilliant though, especially being able to pay more off over the Xmas period.

The Captain is much better, I've phoned the yard, he's now refusing his medicine! I think it's all to do with the embarrassment of having to wear his long flowing forelock in a scrunchie bun style between his ears. Huge bun as his forelock is very long :rotfl:
The cat Einstein (anything but) is now competing for attention as he fell off the windowsill this morning....The window is set into an alcove about one foot deep, you really have to be special to fall off! One minute he was looking in through the kitchen window, the next minute there were two paws clawing the edge to get back up, two ears and two very surprised eyes, as he dropped to the ground. There was a lot of frantic washing of ears going on as cats do! I meant to do that you know......
exex is making contact with IM!!!!!! Can't tell you how irritating the green duck that pops up is. Cannot find a way of turning it off, think I am being haunted by OrvilleTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

What's your address? I'll post you a free chocolate bar to make up for the one you paid for (or just reimburse you, if you'd rather have the cash)
