Cheques for 2 bonds that matured Jan 6th and Jan 25th received yesterday, separately, in 'A4' envelopes, clearly marked with FSCS.

Cheques for 2 bonds maturing Jan 10th and Jan 24th arrived today. Hopefully 3 others maturing later this month won't take too long. What a relief! Thanks to everyone on the forum for help in keeping me sane.

14 weeks and waiting for dh`s bond

I thought i would add this encouraging note to the forum. I have today received 3 cheques for FRBs which matured on the 4th Dec, 26th Jan and 12th Feb. What happened was that i sent off a completed application form mid Dec and by end Jan i had not got any response, even an acknowledgment of receipt. I phoned and was advised to resend a copy of the form by registered post, with a letter headed urgent and an explaination. This i did, got an acknowledgment by return dated 13th Feb and the cheques dated 17th Feb arrived today.
So it does seem that once you have got the acknowledgment they do get on with it.
