  • Well, my wife received the money on Friday, for the fixed rate bond that matured on the 31/12/08, so took just over three weeks to receive it, from when it matured.
  • STILL waiting for cheque for FRB closing on Nov 24th and claimed for on Nov 12th.

    The FSCS stink (IMHO!)
  • Ill 2nd that! 7th dec here n still no cheque.
  • I'll third that. Account matured on 16th December, still no cheque. Well, I should be lucky to have received the form. I was one of the ones who were mistakenly forgotten. Received my form only 9 days ago...
  • Update ( though I have already given this information on another thread). I got my 2 cheques last week for the two fixed term deposits which matured end Oct and early December. So things are moving.

    I wish they'd move a bit faster:mad:.
Still waiting for cheques on non FRB accounts that are not accruing interest since 8th October.
    The FSCS stink (IMHO!)
I'll fourth that. Nice to see they've got their priorities straight.
  • Im expecting a cheque tomorrow.
    More fool me.

Ive been told my cheque is "signed off" by some snotty, disinterested cow at the FSCS.

Wasnt it Weds last week that people had cheques arrive?
  • I am peee`d off as well. 18th nov and still no cheque. FSCS are an absolute disgrace and herein lies the lesson ie no-one in any other failing bank is going to wait for maturity after learning of our predicament

Getting very broke now too as tax bill had to be paid this week
  • I sent the forms back on 23rd December and have heard nothing yet, though not overly concerned as my FRB doesn't mature until Feb 2010. However I would be interested to know if anyone in a similar situation to mine has actually heard anything from FSCS / Capita at all eg a simple acknowledgment of the claim? I'm wondering whether those in my situation will simply hear nothing at all for months / years even until their maturity date (and hopefully soon after a cheque) arrives?

When I spoke to the FSCS two weeks ago they said we would get confirmation eventually ! How long eventuality is would be anybody's guess... However feel free to phone them and ask, the more the merrier
