Can we lock this this thread and start a new one?
Make it clear this is for general discussion about the industry, not a place for individual cases?0 -
That was worth adding to this thread, very interesting!
Have you let Watchdog know about what you have found out, NevMetson? They are doing another story about PPCs we think:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory/
Got to be worth you telling them what you know, and also showing them the OPC Court Case link that's on this forum somewhere - which proves that when a TS take action the Courts CAN deal with PPCs breaking the law!
We need more info going to Trading Standards and the OfT - and more action!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well it's official, here's the BPA response to my complaint about Parking Eye committing offences under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008...........they are actually doing nothing wrong.......take heed all you TSD officers!
BPA 'complaints' are of course no different from PPC 'appeals'.
They have to set an example after all!0 -
This is very much like my recent communication with the BPA. After I had asked them what they were going to do about OPC after their recent criminal conviction the BPA rep asked me my interest in the matter. I replied that the whole PPC "industry" seems to be built on the fact that people are being fooled into paying non-existent "private parking charges" because of the misleading paperwork generated by BPA members. They failed to get back to me on that! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I too am having problems with this firm I was not the driver and sent the letters set out in the articles about parking tickets but have now received a reply tating that they know these are just standard letters from this site and they do not accept them and they will proceed to pursue the amount owed.
I have replied again saying I am not the driver and will not disclose who was driving at the time and I have reported them to the British Parking Association for rfusing to accept my letters of explanation I think I wil just ignore all future letters and see what happens0 -

Are you talking about OPC? It would be better if you start your own thread, as this thread is just a general discussion about privates parking tickets and is getting too big. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
It's a bit ironic that tps saying they don't accept standard letters from mse, when their whole business is setup around standard letters full of crap and illegal terms, if it was me I would sent them one back saying you don't accept standard letters from cowboy firms trying scam money out of me.
The best advice is to ignore!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
