Being new to the site please can you advise how to start a new thread

Go to the "The Parking Fines, Tickets & Parking Board" sub-forum (click the "forum jump" button of the page) and very near the top, on the left-hand-side, you will see a "start new thread" button.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    PPC Advice

If it's council/police - go to Pepipoo forums and post the details and a copy of the PCN [front and back] on there. Council/Police issue Penalty Charge Notices [and are the only ones allowed to do so].

If it's a PPC then......they issue ‘invoices’ [often made to resemble official PCNs]; often call their invoices Parking Charge Notices [same initials, see part of the scam]. These are legally unenforceable as [leaving aside signage, etc] the PPCs needs to prove who was driving the car [not just name the Registered Keeper (which is all the council/police have to do)]. Nothing else matters.

    So in essence

Ignore everything [unless you get an N1 from the court].

    Really...ignore everything.

    Seriously...ignore everything.

    Truly...ignore everything.

Details of your case....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Name of retail park/store....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Town....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Reason given on ticket....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Name of PPC....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Date....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Time....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Day....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Blue badge....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Parent & monster space....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Amount of fine....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Spoke to store manager....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Debt Collector letter received....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Name of debt collector....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Threatened court....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Contents of debt collector letter....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Extra ‘admin charge’ added....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Solicitor letter received ....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Got a telephone call....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    You were ill....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Only nipped in for 2 mins....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

    Left and returned....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

But I did what they say I did....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Anything else relating to a PPC invoice....totally irrelevant...ignore everything.

Yes the advice is still the same in your case - just ignore
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Thanks, I moved the post to a separate thread if you're wondering what happened to it.
  • I got a 'parking charge' on the 14 March for overstaying the time in the car park - free for 90 mins then a £90 fine. Had two letters now and was about to reply on Martin's advice on this, but been reading these forums and alot of advice is to do absolutely nothing.
However although I keep reading on here and the forums that they would have to take me to court to get any payment, they aren't threatening court action. They are threatening to transfer me to a debt collection company where additional costs could be incurred!!!

How do I stand with this ? Should I just pay the £90 (that I don't have) or write a letter to them explaining I won't be paying because there was insufficient signage, can't afford to pay, and its a disproportionate amount ?

I don't like the idea of debt collectors coming round, and is that even legal in contract law?
