Our starting point was Central Ticketing - for parking at the flats where he had been sharing a flat with mate for about six months. Parking never an issue then CT arrived and the tickets started being doled out like confetti. I know a few other in the same position with CT tickets (some times at 11:30pm - parking with no permit). It seemed impossible to visit without getting a ticket.

Before I started looking up this outfit my wife had written and "appealed". We heard nothing. I write saying why had we heard nothing also saying that all future correspondence on this matter should be directed to me and giving them 21 days to put up or shut up. We heard nothing from CT.

Next thing a letter with plenty of red from Roxburghe again to my son. I wrote to them pointing out that we had heard nothing from CT and asking them to talk to CT as it had nothing to do with them and reminding them that I had instructed CT that all dealings with this should be directed to me, not my son.

I even called CT anonymously saying what are my options to get anyone to actually reply to a question. All they were interested in was finding out what the ticket number was - presumably to know they had got a live one worth chasing.

Bingo a few days ago next letter from Roxburghe (to my son) and a few days later the first from Graham White "intended legal action", "county court" etc. again to my son.

I'll upload the redacted versions at some stage - once they stop pouring in.

I wish these letter were to me and not my son as he is understandably getting a bit nervous.

Other than the dubious business practice of bullying and intimidation that these lot are dealing in the way that they choose to ignore anything you ask means that I concur with the other advice here about not contacting them is correct - it is pointless. These companies are about a half a run up from the wheel-clamping low-life from which they have evolved.

The DVLA are complicit in this and for anyone registering anything with DVLA I would suggest NEVER filling in any of the optional stuff that you can - it just gives them more of your personal data to peddle. The BPA are a joke. As long as their members cough up they are happy and it these tickets that help fund their cosy lifestyle.

If it was me I will continue to hold out - at no stage have CT done anything they say they will on their website (more of which later). But my son is getting nervous.

If anyone has been down this route with CT and are at the next stage - reassuring words would be good to pass on to him.

    Cheers

    Wendall:

While it's a pity you paid them unnecessarily, you certainly don't need a to them a penny more. Rest assured, other than a few more threat-o-grams, nothing will happen.

Look familiar? CT/Graham White/Roxburgh always chicken out when it comes to issuing a court claim.

I came home from work yesterday to discover I have a parking fine from a Company called Parking Eye Chorley! as I am a disabled person I looked on there website to see if I could appeal they didnt give much away apart from disabled badge holders are not Excempt. As I was so furious I emailed them asking them about appealing I haven't had a reply as yet but after scaling the internet the majority of people are saying dont pay up.

My question is have a made the big mistake of contacting them, Here is a copy of the email I sent can someone please advise me on what to do next ..........!!

I have received a parking charge notice this morning Claiming I over stayed the 3 hour period on the 19th Dec 2010 @ the Kingswood shopping park Hull. I would like to appeal against the charge because I am a disabled driver and have a Blue Badge. I rung the number on the letter but its not very clear as to how to appeal against the discussion , do I pay the fine before the 12th Jan 2011 @£50 and hope I receive my money back if its found in MY favour or do I appeal and if its NOT found in my favour still pay the £50. Surely Disabled Drivers are not penalised for over staying especially when they are wheel chairs users.
Your help in clarifying this matter would be much appreciated

A Shopping Park not making extra allowances for disable people? They could be breaching the Disability Discrimination Act

But ignore any demands for payment from Parking Eye, they never do court, I'm assuming it's a free car-park, so the total damages is zero.
  • Hi, I was hoping someone could help me. Whilst visiting ASDA in Leyton Mill Retail Park November 2010 I returned to my Motorbike that was parked well out of the way but not in a parking space I received a parking ticket. The ticket that was Issued on my Bike had the wrong first Letter in the Registration Number so figured I would not worry about it until On the 30th of December I received a letter from a debt company saying that a Balifs were going to collect £146 for failing to pay a £40 pound ticket. I still have the ticket that was issued to the wrong registration number (MF** instead of HF****)

Do I have a leg to stand on? Any advice on this, should I just ignore it as it is a private firm?

    Thanks for your help,

    Thanks for your help,

Ignore it. A bailiff cannot become involved until ALL the following has happened -

1 They take you to court.
    2 They win
3 You still refuse to pay.

As they never ever go to court, a visit from a bailiff is impossible.
"Debt Collectors" have no power whatsoever and can be safely ignored.

Do you have a leg to stand on, LOL! You are taking this far too seriously.

This isn't a fine - and tell me where it says 'bailiffs will collect' on the letters?!

The typical debt collector letter chains, in colour pictures, are on the link just given again by Orford, just two posts above yours today. Follow that link, find your letter. Look at the next letters and just play snap when each matching threatogram arrives.

There will be no bailiffs, read that letter again if you have time to waste, if not just make a paper aeroplane out of it, just like the lgeal expert did a few months ago in a Watchdog programme. To see that Watchdog clip click the link in my signature which shows you the whole parking board here. Read the sticky thread by Crabman 'Read this Before Posting' and you'll find said Watchdog link.

It's all there in our sticky threads.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You have two legs to stand on, you are taking them far too seriously! Did they use the word "Bailiff" or "Door step collector"?

Stating they are coming to collect £146 were do these Muppets get it from.

I wish they would come here I have something they could collect!!:D
