Next week's Watchdog (Oct. 14) has a feature about "parking companies whose tickets look like they have been issued by the police". Should be interesting! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

We look forward to the rubbish they send you.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Hi All, my mother received a parking charge notice from Excel requesting £60 which should be paid within 14 days, the letter has a picture of the car going in the car park and coming out, the duration of stay was 14 minutes, my mother is disabled and has a blue badge andwas parked in the disabled bay she is not 100% sure if she purchased a ticket the car was occupied during the 14 minutes in the car park. I sent them an email to appeal the ticket and got in return a standard letter with no comment on what I had said in the email........... I have heard lots of stories about Exel , please advise.0

Just tell her to completely ignore them, the ticket is not enforceable, and they will not take her to court as they would lose.
Parking Charge Notice tickets are a fake PCN, they should all be ignored, also FYI the blue badge scheme does apply in private car parks, all parking bays in private car parks like supermarkets are advisory only.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

I don't believe this is to do with PPC on private land, but rather tickets appearing on cars on public roads.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Yes, you might be correct. I remember reading about this a couple of weeks ago. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Hi all,
I just got a ticket from Aldi, Didsbury issued by Parking Eye (Aldi originally got planning permission to build at the site in Didsbury providing the car park could be used by other visiting Didsbury - I can only assume that this has now changed!)
I have been reading that Charge Notices issued by post should give 21 days notice to pay at the reduced amount. This one only gives 14.
Am I OK to assume that this charge notice is invalid?
(I will be phoning Manchester City Council to check if they have allowed Aldi, Didsbury to have a private parking company at their site!)0
