How would you feel if you were the landowner, in common with other residents according to the deeds, but had refused to sign up to a permit scheme because it was to be 'policed' by a PPC and were now receiving 'fines' whilst parked in the secure underground residents' car park? Factor originally instructed PPC to act on behalf of the residents, even thought not all owners had signed up to the parking permit scheme. Residents, not commuters are now paying the price. Son has received 3 'fines' in the three days since the scheme started operating all served at 5 am! Where are the commuters then? Still safely tucked up in their beds if they have any sense.0

As has already been said these are not fines they are invoices.
It's no different to if you sat in a chair in your local mcdonalds to eat your food, "overtstayed" for a few minutes and then were sent a bill for the use of the seat.
totally unenforceable, ignore, ignore, ignore!
If a guy walked upto you in the sreet and asked for £100 would you just hand it over? because that is all these guys are, average joes, not the police, not the council just people like me and you, they have no powers.
I could set up tomorrow and start sending out these fake "fines" would you pay me now if i pm'd you asking for £100?
No?
Then don't pay these scammers either......."A wise man once told me don't argue with fools because people from a distance can't tell who is who"........0 -
And how do they know yours is a staff car and not one belonging to a member of "the public"?
And if you work there you will know it is not in Newcastle.
I know, I know its gateshead. Its because I live in Newcastle.
I dunno perhaps they have seen me with uniform on, walking into the shop. I just think its ridiculous that even though its for 'customers' everytime i park there, there is still numerous amounts of empty spaces.0 -
Totally agree with not communicating with PPC's but when you are being issued with 'invoices' every day and your car is being interfered with whilst parked in your own secure underground car park it is distressing and very very annoying. Car is a reasonably expensive sports model and son's pride and joy for which he worked long and hard. These B's are actually ruining his life as he is constantly concerned that they will damage his car. Last car was vandalised and security was increased but now it appears any Tom !!!!!! or Harry has been granted acess by the Factor.0

Im new on here...hello
I was in B&Q last week. I parked in a disabled spot and forgot to leave the blue badge. I got a ticket from a private firm uk cps. On the ticket (under reason for issue) none of the options were ticked. So it doesnt state what I had done wrong. Is this enough grounds for appeal or shall I just ignore the ticket. Just wondering if they had taken a photo of where I was parked....
Quick concise replies appreciated as the payment period is ending!!

And what was the ticket for?
Overstaying the time?
As it is a private car-park you can ignore any future tickets.
However there may be something in the terms of your employment regarding where you can and should park. This is a matter for you and your employer, the private car parking company can do nothing.0 -

The ticket was for 'unauthorised parking'
The policy of all staff working in the metrocentre is you need to park in the staff car parks or in the coach park. As the the other car park spaces are only for 'customers' only even there was still several spaces available when i was there. And the coach park is like a 15 minute and doing that it night and just finished work is not something i would wanna do.
I've heard that i could just ask them to prove that it me driving as 99% of the time they cant prove it.0 -

Ignore them in future then - do not contact them to discuss it - waste of time.0
