lol, what you did with mine! get a grip mate

Actually baddiebasher quoted your text in its entirety and then said why he/she disagreed with it. You excised part of a sentence from his/her post and made it fit your point.

So, regardless of which of you is correct when it comes to the main argument, baddiebasher's complaint that you quoted out of context is correct, and your automatic reciprocation of it is incorrect.

  • I have a similar problem i purchased a pair of £150 UGG boots for my wife on xmas eve i was advised by the store assistant to buy the size smaller a 5 than what i had asked for a 6 so i did at this point no one had mentioned that i could not get a refund and being a bloke never asked . The boots are to small so i rang the store on boxing day only to be told they do not have any in a size 6 call back tomorrow still no size 6 so i asked if i could have a refund as they could not supply me with what i wanted i got a flat no and the dessision was final so i feel i was only sold a size 5 to get a sale nowing i couldnt get a refund

you've been misadvised. they made a statement on which you relied. their statement was negligent, and as a result, you are left with something which is not suitable or fit for purpose.

go in to store. demand a refund if they cannot give you what you originally asked for. if possible identify the sales rep. I wonder if they make commission on sales?
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

any chance they can rind around other office stores and get a 6 transfered to their store for you?

i hear the whole 'get a size down' thing alot but some people do and some dont need too. at the end of the day u gotta try em on or buy where u can get refund. and considering the price u paid, u coulda gone elswhere that does refunds, a la asos.

Classic Uggs do generally come up quite large, so the sales assistant was right in that respect and didnt really misadvise, however, with Ugg boots it is always better to try them on wherever possible.
  • Thanks for the reply.
I took my wife into the store yesterday and they actually had 5 pairs in stock so she tried them all on and picked the best 2 boots out of different boxes it took her 45 mins to decide the store manager got quite upset and tried to rush us out of the store but hey wot goes around comes around we will never shop in office again and with a wife and 3 daughters who all love shoes there loss haha.
  • i was in Office today, after some deliberation, purchased a pair of full price boots, after asking the question, can i return them, as i was unsure?
The sales person said yes, i could, because they were full price.
So it was certainly my impression that when i returned to the store 15 mins later after changing my mind, that i would receive my £105 cash back.
    I didn't.
I get it. It's the stores policy. But what i also understand, is that it's most important for them as a company to get sales, and if they need to give misleading or purposely deceptive responses to honest customer queries in order to do so, then so be it.
Now i'm stuck with a £105 store credit.
But i have learned my lesson, and going forward won't be shopping at Office ever again.
  • And i've also noticed, that on their website, they allow full refunds for online purchases, even instore providing you have the invoice.
    that makes SOOOOO much sense.
