    Hi
I finally used the above email address to send this email-

You stated to contact you on this email . N.B I have ordered and not received -
    (transaction details) on the 21/Nov/2008
there is now only 8 days left to receive post before xmas.
You state on your website to allow up to 21 days yet you still took orders up to the 10th dec. I have now waited 22 days. Pretty unreasonable of you not to have answered even 1 email from me to reassure me that you will deliver.
Where are my goods? I have 2 kids looking that they will now not get they're presents for Christmas that I can ill afford.
I shall post a copy of this email on the above site so that others may see my situation and then have the option to go some where else so they're goods can be guaranteed delivey.

Within 2 hours I got a refund notification from worldpay. At least I can now go and sort out ipods for the kids. Thank you moneysavers as doubtless I would not have had this result were it not for the bad publicity that when googling this company, brought up this and another site . Hope everyone either receives they're items or a refund.
    Merry christmas to all.:j

    Well done, good result.

Lets hope the owners Mum and Dad read this and close down his bedroom run business.

I haven't ordered from this company, but a look-up of the domain registration info shows that it's registered to a non-trading individual who has chosen to withhold their details - which no genuine company would ever do. I do hope this isn't going to snowball, but suspect, as we get closer to Xmas, that it will. Google to find other complaints!

That message from M & M is a bit whingy. If they are overpowered with orders then they should take on some temporary staff.

Why have they used capitals everytime they have written "Our"?

    Hi everybody - I'm also having problems with this company too. I ordered on the 8th December and have yet to receive even an email confirming my purchase. After reading this thread and other threads on other sites, I decided to try and cancel my order. But none of my mails were acknowledged. So this evening, I sent this to them;

"As of yet, I have still not received any confirmation whatsoever of my order. I have also read on various websites that I am not alone in this. I have previosuly asked for a full refund twice and have not heard anything back from you.
If I do not receive a full refund by end of play on Wednesday 24th of December I will take the following action without hesitation.
    1. Contact Barclaycard and advise them of the situation.
    2. Raise a complaint with Trading Standards in England.
    3. Raise a complaint with the Consumers Association of Ireland.
    4. Raise a complaint with Dublin City Council.
    5. I have already made contact with the EU Consumer Affairs Department in Dublin and they have asked for full details of the transaction.
    6. Raise a complaint with Google UK.
    7. I have spoken to Shure already and they have advised me that you are not an authorised dealer of their product. They have also voiced concerns that the items may be fake. I am more than happy to help them with their enquiries if need be.
    8. Raise a complaint to the National Consumer Agency in Dublin.
    9. Detail my full complaint on as many consumer websites as I can.
    10. I don't like being ripped off and therefore I will be more than happy to take legal action against your company no matter what the cost to me.

Or, you can give me a full refund. It is entirely up to yourselves."

    Surprise, surprise, I got an email back within an hour or so! Which kinda disproves the rubbish about having too many emails to deal with. Anyway, the reply (from a gentleman called Fred Penny) is as follows;

"Ok , When You receive the headphones tomorrow send them back.
You picked the wrong guy to threaten pal!!"

    Great customer service there!

I would suggest that all of those reading this thread who have sent money to this company and have not received contact at least some of the above if applicable.

    Any news from anybody else?

    My headphones failed to arrive today even though Mr Penny said they would in his previous mail to me. So, I have sent him another email to advise him of this. Here it is;

"Guess what? The headphones never arrived.
Could you provide me with the tracking number of the mail company you used so that I can chase the order up?
And no, I won't be sending the headphones back to you if they arrive. As requested by Barclaycard, I will be sending them off the Shure to evaluate, which they seem quite keen to do.
I requested a full refund within 24 hours of my order, so I'm not even sure why you have posted them to me. As you have not even acknowledged my order after 14 days, I can only presume that you have not processed it. Therefore, as requested in my last mail, could you please provide me with a full refund?
And as regard to you being the wrong person to threaten with legal action, would you care to elaborate upon this?"

    Let's see what happens now.
  • sounds like a dreadful company, will be avoiding these ones.
Hope you all get your money back asap, and thanks for sharing.

  • Hi All,

I am another unfortunate victim. I've initiated a claim via my CC company to sort out a refund.

Below are the details of my lack of progress with Mr Fred Penny -

22.11.08 Order placed with Models & Modistas (M&M). Received confirmation of payment via Worldpay
04.12.08 Emailed M&M to enquire about lead time for delivery as no word from them re order. No Response.
05.12.08 Resent email. Response received stating imminenet posting and to expect delivery by 10.12.08.
11.12.08 Goods still not delivered. Found on Moneysavingsexpert that many customers of M&M have not received goods. Emailed M&M asking for tracking number for posted order. Response received asking what my order consisted of. Told M&M order details and was told that they would now be posted ASAP???? and that I should receive them by 17.10.08
17.12.08 Goods still not received. Emailed M&M asking for tracking number for order. Response from M&M asking to be patient as postal service is very busy at this time of year!!. No tracking number given.
18.12.08 Goods still not received. Emailed M&M asking for tracking number again to trace order. No response therefore no number given.
18.12.08 Emailed M&M for an honest answer re whether items have actually been posted. No response.
19.12.08 Email received from M&M with a Tracking number. Traced goods originally sent at post office in Ireland on 18th. Not sure whether item is MY ORDER or just random number.
19.12.08 Initiated dispute via Egg Card Website.

Here's hoping that Egg can do something for me!
  • I bought a pair of Shure e4c from their website as they were selling it at a good price. The website looked genuine. After placing the order I got a confirmation from world pay but nothing from models and modistas. I have sent 3 emails to them and have called a numberous times. I only got to speak with Fred Penny once when he said that the shures are dispatched I would have them in a week. Its been more than a week now and I have still not received the product. I tried calling them today and it went straight to the voicemail. So its going be a month after I paid them and have still not received anything!! I would like my money back ASAP!!
Also, I found another website which sells similar products and its main guy is called Fred Penny!!! What a coincidence. The company's name is "THE ZENITH PORTFOLIO" BEWARE!!! Definitely a scammer!! I guess he opened another website due to bad publicity of models and modistas.
  • Guys, I'm in a slightly different boat, but still not happy.

I ordered some Shure E2C headphones from them, and then found this thread. Instantly thought i'd never receive them, so I just swallowed the £40 odd and blamed myself for not researching the company first.

The headphones arrived today ! No packaging for them, they were in a fake, worn/used carry case. Got the headphones out, one of the speakers had been glued in (badly) and has now fallen out, and doesn't even work. The other earphone has the worst quality sound I've ever heard, and I'm more than certain they are fakes.

Don't buy from these cowboys, or you'll learn the hard way, like I have done.
