There's no point giving him the time of day, you'll never hear a whimper from the wimp.

Well actually.... I didn't hear a whimper from Penny but I did get a refund note from worldpay!

I suggested to him that I was aware of other companies he was affiliated with, such as those quoted above (thanks to everyone for their research on him). It just goes to show he's not gone completely underground.

So don't give up hassling the little thief! He will still respond to threats.

ps. this forum was a godsend, but I really hope I never have to post here again!!
  • Another one gets burnt!!!

I ordered my headphones (£115) of myleensfare.co.uk two days ago. Got a white page during the ordering process, so sent them an e-mail to check they got my order. Received a conformation off WorldPay and nothing from the website.

Just saw that the WorldPay conformation had a different business name - "Models and Modistas" - thought I'd do a quick google search and, hey presto, look what I find.

Just sent an e-mail to WorldPay to see if they can stop my transaction. (Fingers crossed).

I don't understand how WorldPay still allow his same old account with the same name and e-mail address to still run. I also don't understand how google still list him on their shopping search - I may send them a quick e-mail too!

Will let you know what happens.

  • Just after posting a message on here about 2 hours ago I noticed that many of you had got results using threats. I thought I'd give it ago.

    At 10.23pm I sent him this e-mail.

Subject: : Moneysavingexpert - myleensfare - Models and Modistas

    Dear Fred Penny,

This is the third e-mail I have sent to you over the last two days as the situation seems to have escalated rather quickly.

As I have stated twice already, I ordered a pair of Bose QC2 headphones off your website myleensfare.co.uk. I have received a conformation from WorldPay saying my transaction has been completed but no conformation from you.

I saw that you operate through a different name under WorldPay "Models and Modistas" so I did a quick google search and found numerous bad reviews complaining of bad service, un-delivered products and fake products supplied by yourself.

I no longer would like to receive the product from you and I would like conformation from you of a full refund of £114 to my debited card in the next 24 hours. If I do not receive this I will send e-mails to the following companies:-

    1) WorldPay - asking for your account with them to be terminated
    2) Goggle - asking for all your business names to be removed from their search filters
    3) BBC watchdog - with as many links of customer threads I can find complaining about your service.

Please find the details of the WorldPay transaction below.

I hope for a quick resolution of this problem.

    Many thanks,
    Graham Epstein.

    Transaction details: xxxxxxx

At 10:39pm (thats right just 16 minutes later - 2 days after my nice e-mail asking if he recived my oreder) I received this reply:-

I dont care for Your threats as they fall on deaf ears.
Your more than welcome to join the other muppets on that rubbish website of moaners and whingers, which by they way, ALL of which have either received their goods or been refunded, so do me a favour and keep Your threats for someone who cares.

What nice customer service he has! I then received this:-

    Refund Notification
Your payment for goods to the value of: GBP 114.00
WorldPay receipt for transaction ID: 1593961765
    Description: [1]|Bose QC2 Noise Canceling Headphones x 1
    Purchased From: Models and Modistas
    Merchant's cart ID: c5jhtb45casxcb55kwaff145
    At: 03/Feb/2009 10:55:25
    has been refunded in full

Please contact the merchant at dresscode20@yahoo.com should you have any queries regarding this refund.

The transaction id for this refund is: 1593961765
    Generated at: 04/Feb/2009 22:40:46

Thank you for using WorldPay internet payment systems.

The threats seem to work very well, for anyone who is still to receive there money, give it a try!.
  • So Fred Penny says:

"Your more than welcome to join the other muppets on that rubbish website of moaners and whingers, which by they way, ALL of which have either received their goods or been refunded, so do me a favour and keep Your threats for someone who cares."

This is absolutely not true. It is now almost 2 weeks since I ordered, I have sent 2 emails, but I have heard nothing from this guy.

I am about to send my third email. If I do get my refund I will be sure to return here and let everyone know, just for the record.

I find it Ironic this Gypo actually started the ball rolling on this thread issuing his deaf ears threats "you've messed with the wrong guy here" (cue handbags at dawn), ALL of which culminated in "Ermmm..........keep your threats for those who care" (cue his mommy). Yet as he well knows, he has NO CHOICE but to refund, as threats or no threats, the Law is on the side of the consumer NOT the conniver.

A far cry from his post.

  • hey people. i have seen what you been saying about that website and exactly the same thing happened to my boyfriend, he brought me some GHDs from that site and he ordered them on the 11th dec and its been nearly 2 months and still nothing and cant get hold of them or anything.
he spent £125 on ghd limited edition purple and we have emailed and emailed and nothing.
  • And another one duped.!! I ordered a pair of B & O earphones on the 2nd Feb and still no sign of delivery despite several e-mails which seem to have landed on deaf ears, I have been in touch with my credit card company who promise a full refund if not delivered by the 2nd March, but why should we have to go to this length, if the company can not supply the goods, surely they should advise people of an expected delivery date or refund monies so that we can go elswhere?
  • I ordered Bose headphones september last year, and guess what ..its not been delivered yet. I received an email from fred penny in november and that was the last i heard from him. Ive sent him one more email today, giving him one week and then reporting him to trading standards and appealing for a refund from paypal ..has anyone received a refund recenlty in reg to non deivery of items ordered?, especially from paypal?

Contract trading standards in Ireland!!!!!!. Also send an email to him asking for a refund giving him a period of 7 days and tell him you will take him to the small claims Court if it is not received. It worked for me.

Although I received the goods, they turned out to be counterfeit (confirmed by GHD). Nothing but Fraudsters - I hope they get get whats due to them!!!!!
