Hi all.
If anyone needs it I downloaded and saved the original web page from e7 advertising the offer of 'pay for 1 year and get second year absolutely free - for this weekend only!'.
I am going to use it with my claim against Barclacard. anyone getting probs proving the offer - PM me and I'll send it on.
Perhaps some others on here will have other relevent E/ms and pages.
Has anyone been refused a credit card refund and given up?? if so WHY?
Has anyone got an actual refund from E7 since they went offline?
Also, isn't there a bright solicitor out there somewhere that is prepared to act on behalf of the 12,000 or so that are out of pocket? I would like to see E7 sued for their misconduct and obtaining monies by deception. surely there is a case. Oh, and DONT cite Ofcom. They are useless.

From what I can see nobody has got a refund from E7 yet they do not appear to have gone into administration.
How they can get away with it is beyond me.
I would have thought after five weeks they should have either refunded everyone or gone out of business.
They have not even contacted any of their customers directly... they have let another lot of cowboys do the dirty work for them.0 -

AFAIK anyone making a claim against them can make them bankrupt if they don't pay up so I assume that they must be paying out to someone."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -

I received a letter on Saturday from my Credit Card company (Lloyds TSB) explaining they couldn't help me as E7 have provided an on-line method of getting a refund. They even sent me screen prints of the link and claim page... as if I hadn't been there already!0

Lloyds are wrong, and are trying to pull the wool over your eyes.
Have a read of this.
Here's a quote from there...............
Paying for goods or services by credit card is now a major part of daily life, with many people preferring this method of payment to using cash or cheques. An advantage of using a credit card is that, under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, customers who have a claim against a supplier for breach of contract or misrepresentation will generally have an equal claim against the card issuer.
Claims are often made against the card issuer when the supplier has gone out of business or disappeared. Firms will sometimes tell customers that they must first get a court judgment against the supplier. That is wrong. The customer can choose whether to claim against the supplier, the card issuer, or both.
You have an equal right to claim against your card issuer (Lloyds). It is up to you to choose who to claim from. Better to claim from Lloyds, and make them chase E7 for the money back. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
